~Masamune - Providence 56 - Castle~

"Sounds like your a bunch of wizards in monk robes. Alright, I think I'll seal the alliance with you." Masamune said. He gave Sorin a smile. Sorin looked delighted. I'm going to cut him some slack. And what would Kojuro do in this situation? Probably accept the alliance. The Otomo to have a few big bucks on their side, too. They can help aid the Date.

An Otomo advisor comes in with the pact. It was the usually contract, a bunch of blabber and then lines for the Lords' signatures. Masamune made sure he read all the 'blabber' carefully. He was not going to get fooled by such a young lord. Looks all good. He signs his name after Sorin. Sorin had pretty fancy handwriting, with a bunch of curls and swirls. Masamune's handwriting a bit more straightforward.

"Alright ally, what should our first order of business be?" Masamune asked. He crossed his arms.

~Kojuro - Providence 37 to 25 - Shima Land~

The rain started with a small drizzle and then picked up. "We can't move in these conditions. We need to take shelter in the trees." Kojuro called to the army through pouring rain. He led the army into the nearby tree canopy.

The men dismounted their horses and were relaxing. Kojuro also dismounted his and was looking at a map, trying to mark their location. "This storm shouldn't last long. The rain season isn't for a while." Kojuro muttered marking the map. They were a bit over halfway home. The road home seemed to be harder than the way there. Also, Masamune wasn't with them to keep the morale high.

The rain lasted for a while. Some of the men made temporary shelters out of wood planks. Kojuro was walking about the camp, making sure nobody was getting sick. There was a rustling behind him. Kojuro turned around and scanned the undergrowth for anything. He heard the rustling again, but this time with a high pitch scream. Kojuro ran towards the scream to reveal a girl. She was a bit tattered up, her dress torn at the bottom with frayed edges. She was soaking wet and she had a bit of mud on her hands.

"Help me.."
She said softly. Kojuro helped her to her feet. She felt weak in his arms.

"What happened?" Kojuro asked her. She wasn't much younger than he was. She was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen.

"I escaped....please don't take me back. I escaped narrowly. My escorts got attacked by some hostile Kuroda farmers and I got away. My name is Oichi...Oichi Oda."
She replied shyly.

"Oichi Oda?! From the Oda Clan?" Kojuro was shocked at the answer. Such a pretty girl in a corrupt clan.

"My brother..I..I can't marry Nagamasa! I need to be free. He treats me like a caged bird.."
Oichi bursted into tears. She looked at Kojuro in the eyes. "What clan are you from?"

"I am the tactician of the Date Clan. We are heading home from war." Kojuro replied. "If you would like, you could shelter in our providence in secrecy."

"Really? You would do that for me?"
Oichi looked at him with a glint of hope. "That would be great."

Kojuro brought her to the makeshift army camp. "Bring me a spare horse for this maiden." Kojuro asked the nearby soldier.

"Ummm sir, the only spare horse we have currently is Lord Masamune's. We left the spares with the men who stayed behind." the soldier nervously replied.

"Bring me his horse then. He's not with us right now. I'm guessing he won't mind."  Kojuro replied with confidence. The soldier bowed and went to locate the horse.

"Thank you. The Date have showed me great kindness. I can't wait to meet the lord." Oichi said. She gave Kojuro a small smile.

The rain let up and the army continued to move. Oichi mounted her horse slowly and sat on it sideways. She stayed close to Kojuro. The army trecked further into Shima territory, now accommodated by a pretty guest.

~Motonari - Providence 62 - Castle~

Motonari crumpled a few papers containing shabby plans. It seems my touch for writing strategies is fading. It might be time to retire.. Takakage entered the room, breaking Motonari from his thoughts.

"Father, it might be best to head to the Azai now. I'm going to take my friends and I to Azai territory to discuss the marriage and try to come to an agreement not to attack us because of this." Taka said nervously.

"Very well. Your growing up, and you need to learn to either succeed or fail from your decisions. See you in a while." Motonari said.

"Aye father." Taka said. He walked out of the room, pleased by the response.

~Sorin and Hanbei~ Province #56 Bungo
The pact had been signed. There was now an alliance between the Date and Otomo clans. Sorin was getting excited.
"First of all, we are focusing on preparing for the war. We do not wish to be taken off the map by some bigger army. So, we will assist the Date in any attacks you wish to hold against another army. Just inform us in advance, because we are so very far away," Sorin said, and Hanbei nodded.
"That's correct. We know you have already assisted Kraken in taking over the Fuma's territory. My services are yours to form a strategy to conquer whatever you wish. I am, after all, a genius," Hanbei said.

~Nobunaga~ Province #34 Izumo
That morning, Nobunaga immediately ordered that half his army he current had would be stationed here in Izumo. The surviving Kuroda warriors would either offer their services up to the Oda or perish. No one who can resist may be left behind.
Tsuruhime agreed to accompany Nobunaga to the Ishida territory. There, he planned to stamp them out before they could conjure up any such army. The Ishida Ward was probably a plan a plan in development, and Nobunaga figured he should come. He will murder Lucia for her foolish actions.
Nobunaga and Iyokouno's forces headed out towards Ishida territory. There would be absolutely no delay, and the army would march until they get there. The more they rest, the more time they lost.

Pretty long one, guys. But it is important Wink

~Masamune - Providence 56 - Castle~

The Date do not need your services at the moment. We are going to recover from the recent battle and discuss our next move."
Masamune said. He picked up his hat.

After saying a brief goodbye to Hanbei and Sorin, Masamune was lead out of the castle by some servants. The quickly made it through the town. People stared at them as the walked passed. Masamune ignored their faces. It's time to go home. Kojuro and the men will be waiting for me. The servants led him to the harbor, and onto a familiar boat. It was the boat that Hanbei arrived in when he came to the Date.

Jokingly, Masamune said, "Wow, it's fit for a king. Anyways, our destination is Providence 4, Ichigo. Date territory."

"Aye sir!"
the crew said. They quickly prepared the boat for departure.

Masamune placed his hat down on on a crate of the boat.

As the boat rocked off into the sea, Masamune thought about his past and where he is now. My life has been a whirwind...and my mother, Rose was never there for me. Why? Why did she leave me with him? Why didn't she take me with her? The maid who took care of me told me that my mother loved me to the ends of the Earth... She left when I was only one. The only things I know about her is that her name was Rose...

After my mother left, my father took out all his anger on me....
Masamune gripped the side of the boat. When I was thirteen, my father started training me to fight. I learned a lot until he wanted to overwork me. I started from sunup and it was near sunset. He asked me to do a sword combo again. He also metioned I better get it right this time. When I collapsed in the middle of it, my father got really angery. He picked me up by the collar of my shirt and punched my face, specifically my right eye... Masamune runs a finger along his eyepatch, located over his right eye. HE was the reason I lost my eye back then. He just punched it out...thinking I wasn't good enough...

There was some people that helped me though. My Aunt and Kojuro. Aunty would visit on occasion to mostly check up on me. She was from somewhere in Providence 56, with the Otomo. My Dad didn't really like her, since she is a chatter box. But I enjoyed her. She told me about my mother and my Uncle, who had to stay home and work on the farm. Kojuro was also there. He trained with me and always had superior intellect, huff. He served my Dad at his young age because of that. I think my Dad might of had some respect for Kojuro, but not for his own son. Masamune closes his eyes and then reopens them.

But, nothing could compare to that one day. The screams, the smoke, the guilt. I made a vow that day, and that vow was I was not going to be like my father. I would care for the poor and the rich. I would bring the greatness back to the Date. Masamune looked at a seagull flying above the ship.

Eventually the terror stopped. Teremune died in a battle. But, shame was still upon the Date when I took office at 20. People looked down upon us because of HIS actions... I never knew why my mother left, but I have a hunch it was my father... The past is the past, and that is where it will stay. I still have my Aunt...I think. I wouldn't be surprised if my father killed her. I need to never be like my father, him burning down villages, killing innocent people, calling war for no reason..

~Kojuro -  Providence 24 to 22 - Near the Shima/Date Border~

The rain finally let up and the army could finally see where they exactly were. They were near the border, the border to home!

"Men, we are almost home. When we arrive, let us celebrate with our brethren the victory over the Fuma." Kojuro called back to the men. They cheered and repeated the motto of the Date.

"Let us hold a requiem for the dead, may they live through us. Let us all remember what has happened here today. Our wounds may heal, but the memory will remain to celebrate the victory. And lastly, remember that you all are remarkable. Each man counts, no matter the rank. That is the power and pride of the Date!"

Oichi silently watched the men. She hadn't said a word since Kojuro found her.

"Is everything alright?" Kojuro asked her.

She came back to her thoughts and replied, "Everything is fine. I'm just thinking how my brother will react when he finds that I am missing. He probably will think I was killed."

"Don't worry. Your safe with us, I assure you. And once you meet the lord, I'm sure you'll be able to stay." Kojuro confidently said to her.

The Shima's land quickly sloped away to reveal the border. The Date flags waving in the breeze on the border. The army has finally returned from their long voyage.

~Motonari - Providence 62 - Courtyard~

Motonari came out of the castle to see his son off. "Make sure you have all your supplies. And don't forget to pack provisions for the trip."

"Dad, don't treat me like I'm five! I already took care of that."
Taka replied bitterly back.

"A father cannot help but worry about his son. Be careful and say 'hi' to Nagamasa for me. Oichi will make a good wife for him." Motonari said.

Taka took his group of five people, mostly his friends, and mounted their horses. They wore ponchos with the Mori symbol on them for protection.

"See ya in a bit Dad!" Taka said. He took the lead out of the castle.

~Sorin and Hanbei~ Province #56, Bungo
After Masamune left, the three were left in the room alone. Masamune had been escorted to a ride to take him home.
"I trust your journey went well?" Sorin asked Hanbei.
"It was...decent. A few fights here and there, but nothing major," Hanbei said, "We probaby won't be getting an alliance with the Hosokawa anytime soon. I sort of upset somebody in their ranks. But don't worry, we can do without them; we'll make a plan to invade only if they attack us first. We should be worrying about the Hojo. They may retaliate," Hanbei replied, glancing out the window and looking out into the vast ocean.
"Then we should be ready to defend ourselves against any attack they may try! Mikasa, I would like you to go the province of Buzen. We need someone there to take charge of the army there. You're perfect." Sorin told Mikasa, hoping she would find the job suitable.
"I agree. Here's the easiest way to defend our land," Hanbei started, "Our nation lacks in fighting ability, but it is proficient in magic. We should use our talented mages to enchant our land in such a way where the Hojo find it impossible to intrude without giving us a warning. Of course, enchantments don't last forever and we can't put so many on our land to disrupt our trade and peace. We should place a temporary enchantment around the castle in Buzen to deflect any and all weaponry. This includes arrows, throwing knives, sword thrusts - you name it. A protective force field of some sort can keep those things from hurting our soldiers and taking the castle down. However, everything comes at a cost. The enchantments can be broken if they wear armor made of bronze and wield bronze weapons."
"Let us not worry about that. Mikasa, you know what to do-go do it!" Sorin commanded, excited.

~Nobunaga~ Province #31 Yamato
Without haste, the Oda army soon traveled to the province of Yamato. Also under Nobunaga's control, this was the former land of the Iyokouno. Tsuruhime looked a little uneasy, looking at all the damage that had occurred on the land. She noticed people retreating into their homes as they passed. People glared at the army, unable to go anything. Their hearts fell as they saw their former leader beside Nobunaga, leading her forces along with his. The recently added province has completely submitted to his will. It was now time to end the Ishida.

~Providence 50, Courtyard to castle. Kraken and Crow~

Crow: “You did not think this through did you?”

Kraken: “I may be playing it by word tonight my lady, this may go wrong, very wrong. But if it doesn’t, if I think I know these two, then this will go very well.”

The gates to the castle opened slowly, Kraken and his band of pirates and cutthroats followed. Hosokawa guards stopped all but him and Crow, they would not permit such an unsavory lot being unsupervised with their lord.

The journey had been quick and sudden. They moved quickly over the landscape ‘borrowing’ anything they needed. Horses, guides and more. But their destination was at its end, and now Kraken made a prayer to Deneb to look over him like she had in life. If he had her watching him from beyond and Crow from reality how could he fail.

Kraken: “It’s ok, stay calm, stay collected, and play it by the code. Crow and I will be back shortly, with new friends I do plan.”

Hosokawa Ambassador: “Lord Kraken, when we got word you wanted a word we thought we would have more time, not seconds before you appeared, forgive us for the mess.”

Kraken: “I’m still getting used to Lord, please call me Captain or Kraken, and my guest is…”

Hosokawa Ambassador: “We know of your guest, we ask she keep her hands where we can see them at all times, and not touch any food items around our leaders.”

Crow: “I’ll be a good girl. I promise, assassins honor.”

Kraken is guided through halls until he is met with a very standard room. He was used to fancy tables and gilded halls but his hosts proved they respond to one thing, getting to the point. War is not a comfy chair and warm tea, it’s dangerous and horrible, and why should their leaders be comfortable while playing with their soldiers lives. Lord Hosokawa, Koujiro and what seemed to be his apprentice (Sousuke) all stood before him they motioned to him to sit and took their appropriate chairs.

Lord Hosokawa: “What brings you to my humble halls Scourge of the Seas, I’ve heard you been busy, making a name for yourself.”

Kraken: “heh, to the point, but I have no time to dance either so I will ask this very fast and simple. Follow me to war, let me lead this land to peace, and in the end you will be rewarded with more land and people to keep happy. Wealth will come from knowing you are doing what is right for the people. If fortune is all you seek… I can pay right now, but you are not that kind of mind, neither your weapons master.”

Lord Hosokawa: “You can’t be ser….”

Kraken: “I was not done yet good sir, again, no time to dance so to the point. I don’t wish to turn you into something you’re not. I do no ask you to stand by idly and listen to my every whim. I ask you to be an active participant in this. I ask you to sit in every meeting and planning session and have your words heard. I do not ask for slaves to my wills… I ask for guides. Guides who can help me achieve the Japan I have only seen in my dreams and the dreams of those I’ve said goodbye to.”

Koujiro: “You sound like a disillusioned man with a death wish. Walking into situations like these expecting your words to move mountains.”

Kraken stands and walks towards Koujiro, slowly Koujiro stands moves to meet him.

Kraken: “You are the man who can stop armies, you are a man who fights with honor and dignity. Both you are men who are for your people, not yourselves. Just think, you know my true reputation?”

Kraken raises a hand quickly from his robes, Koujiro already has a blade drawn when he realizes he holds nothing in his hands. Kraken laughs a bit and pats him on the shoulder before turning and walking away.

Kraken: “A disillusioned man with a death wish you say, well then it’s very good that I have strong allies to step in and finish my designs for me. We will meet at the Leviathan in the morning, I trust I will have either one of you or an ambassador with me to plan my next move.”

Kraken exits with Crow in tow, Lord Hosokawa glances over at Koujiro.

Lord Hosokawa: “Death wish indeed, but courageous. We’ve always responded well to people with that quality. We have much to discuss tonight my friend.”

Overdue, but finally here! Very Happy

~Masamune - Sailing back to Providence 4 - Boat~

The boat rocked and brought Masamune out of his thoughts. He felt the wind picking up, and the waves getting a little rough. He picked up his hat before worse came to worse, and it fell into the ocean. He quickly located the captain and asked what was up.

"Is there a storm coming upon us? Waves are getting a little rough out there."
Masamune asked calmly.

"Aye, there is no storm, just a bit of breeze. We should be fine, Lord Date." He replied with a brisk accent.

"Good, I want to return home as soon as possible...and alive. My last memory will not be of a sniveling little kid." Masamune said. He thought about Sorin for a moment. Such a young kid. I hope he becomes a well respect ruler one day. Right now, he's a pain in the butt.

The boat continued along it's shaky path. The Leviathan was visible in the far distance, docked at what seems Hosakawa waters. Kraken must be moving on after the battle, like I am. Our ways are now separate. Well, for now, at least.

~Kojuro - Providence 4 (Finally freaking time!) - Town~

The town rejoiced with the news of the victory. The townspeople came out of their houses and showered the army with gifts and festivities. A lot of the army detatched from the main group and joined in on the festival. Others returned to their families. Kojuro lead Oichi to the main castle courtyard, where the royal stables were kept. The stable lady greeted Kojuro and took their horses. She gave Oichi a bit of a puzzled look.

"No need to worry, she's with us now." Kojuro said to the lady. The lady nodded and walked away with the tired horses.

Kojuro lead Oichi into the castle. Oichi seemed delighted at every sight. "Wow, this castle is so nice and clean. I'm really looking forward to meeting your lord. He had something to do, right?"

"He went to seal an alliance with the Otomo. He should be returning home soon enough." Kojuro said bluntly. He didn't really wanted to talk about Masamune, he wanted to talk about Oichi. Her beauty captured his heart. He lead her into one of the reserved guest rooms. "You can stay here for the time being. We will track the Oda with caution."

"Sir, sorry to interrupt, but there is someone here to see you."a servant walks in. A courier stood behind him, claded in Ishida colors, with a nervous look on his face.

"You'll have to be fine from here, Lady Oichi. I must take this." Kojuro said, leading the servant and courier out of the room. "Yes?"

"Well, the Ishida want to form the 'Ishida Ward' to stop Nobunaga. So, I'm here to see if we can get your support?"
the courier said shyly. He obviously did not want to be there right now.

"I'm going to have to wait for that answer. The lord is absent right now. Also, I heard the news from your little friend on Maeda territory. Right now, the Date are indecisive. You may stay in Ichigo as long as you please with no harm, I promise you that." Kojuro said.

~Takakage - Providence 61 -Azai-Mori Border~

The little group slowly made its way onto Azai territory. Azai territory was very hilly, so it took a while to get anywhere.

"So, where is the capitol located exactly?" Kyoya asked. Kyoya was one of Taka's friends. They were around the same age and mostly grew up together.

"It's either in this Providence or the next one. I'm not really sure myself. No sign of the Oda bringing Oichi either....I thought she would of been on a boat by now or something.." Takakage said thinking. His horse started to pain from all the hills and rocks they went over.

"Let's take a little break, okay?" Taka called to the group. He lead them off to a nice shady spot on one of the hills. They dismounted and most of them started to eat.

~Sorin and Hanbei~ Province #56 Bungo
A messenger came in through the door, panting loudly. She was wearing glasses and had her hair up in a ponytail, and wore the crest of the Ishida. She was led in by one of the monks here on the Otomo territory.
"My lord, this lady has come from the Ishida Province with a request," the monk said, standing behind her, making sure she doesn't make a move.
Sorin grabbed the letter hastily and opened it. It was requesting to form something called the Ishida Ward to prevent Nobunaga from conquering Japan. It was basically a request to form an alliance.
"Well, I think we should accept this all-"
"Absolutely not!" Hanbei interrupted, "We have no quarrel with Nobunaga. We should not get involved with that man."
"But the more alliances we have, the more powerful we get - get my drift?" Sorin said, his eyes gleaming,"It's one less person who will try to take us over."
"The Ishida? Take us over?" Hanbei's eyebrow raised, "Are you living in a fantasy land? The Ishida is no wonderland filled of brutal warriors. Their leader, Lucia, is practically a child; she seems to have no direction for her land.  This is her first real declaration as a leader of her clan. I don't think we should be quick to accept; this war could prove to be troublesome if we get too involved. It's enough we have the Hojo to deal with. The Oda, on the other hand, would be a powerhouse enemy that we are no match for. There are reports of Nobunaga gaining more and more territory by the day, and the people bow to him in fear. Do you love your people? Then don't take on this alliance because in the end, it may be too costly for us."
"Your logic is so ever so bombastic and verbose; I see this alliance as a chance for peace and a new friend. We could use them to help develop our nation further! Spread the word of Xavism all across Japan! Think, Hanbei, think!"
"I think that incense is making you high. Now, let's be practical here; the Otomo do not need a new a quarrel, don-"
"Hush, you! You there, messenger! Ask the Ishida what they will do for us if we join this alliance. We don't give free handouts."

~Nobunaga~ Province #28 Iga
The army pressed forth onto Iyokouno territory. Tsuruhime seemed pleased with herself, passing a familiar landscape and friendly people. As they passed by, the people of the Iyokouno land soon figured out there was an alliance between them - and this horrified them. How could their dear sweet leader, master of innocence and grace, forge an alliance with one so dark and cruel?
The army soon passed throughout the land. Ishida land lied ahead. It was time.

The army began the attack with Nobunaga ordering the horsemen to carry spears and head straight for the main castle. Tsuruhime would lead them, and make sure to try to guide them as swiftly as possible. It was their job to bar the door down and flood the men inside so the Ishida soon become overpowered. Of course, they will retaliate; and that's when Nobunaga will come from behind the castle with his army, outflanking them soon enough.

The horsemen have  now left, and it was a battle that has now begun.

Lucia; Provence 26

Lucia was silently meditating, for her pure bordem in the garden her father an her made at one of Lucia's tender ages.

Mitsunari walked in saying, "Milady, Lord Kanetsugu, of the Uesugi, has arrived for the summit and wait outside the castle walls. May I allow him in?"

Lucia opens her eyes, then stood up, saying, "You may, Mitsunari-San."

Lucia was excited to know that other armies actually took care for Lucia's presence, and a threat recognition of the Oda. Lucia went to a small Meeting room having cooks prepare basic confects for the meeting.

A moment after Lucia sat down a little ninja girl, Suguya, appeared in front of her saying, "Good day, Lady Ishida."

Lucia jumped back, grabbing Furaingufeari, saying, "Who are you, and what do you want?!"

The ninja girl replied, "Peace, I am here to be of assistance cause all of my clones are gone doing what they want, sooooo, I did, some spying on the big bad Oda. Sounds like he is attacking you, cause, little messenger gave a letter to Lady Ikuyono, at the wrong time."

Lucia lowered her blade asking,"So, Nobunaga is attacking me, and has Lady Ikuyono as a hostage?"

Suguya replied, "If I said so, it would be a lie. Lady Tsurihime is on Nobunagas side, to save her life by my guess."

"I do not blame her. Lady Tsurihime is a valiant woman, she is doing the best she can, no matter what she must give up. May I ask, what Lord do you serve?" Lucia sheathed Furaingufeari and awaited her answer.

Suguya answered, "I serve the Vaike, lead by my older brother, Kazu- I mean, Kirito, who serves the Sanada, lead by Lord Yukimura.

Lucia nodded saying, "Would you know what your lords are doing?"

The little ninja girl replied, "Lord Yukimura is not known to my location. My big brother is fighting the Buddha Imagawa."

Lucia then asked, "I must thank you for this message, I will alert Mitsunari shortly."

Suguya already disappeared and Lucia went to find her cousin, Mitsunari, to alert him of the Oda's attack.

Kirito Province
During the early morning, Kirito launched the attack against the Imagawa as the guards changed posts. The Sanada riflemen swiftly took out the men who took place of the previous guards at haste. Captain Asada, leader of the Vaike Sharpshooter branch took out high ranked officers with every shot of her long rifle.

Kirito then lead the Calvary in as the Vaike ninjas open the door into the castle. Kirito didn't bother wasting time against foot soldiers and let his soldiers take them out as he and his elite gaurds, composed of A Woman wielding a Rapier, Major Asuna, leader of the Vaike Calvary, and Asuna's brothers, Klein and Agil, who are two of the main leaders of the Vaike foot soldiers, followed their Leader to the Castle of the Imagawa fortress.

Mikasa Provence 56

Mikasa listened to her lord conversation with Hanbei about Lucia's alliance, and she interrupted, "Milord! I'd recommend that you would have accepted Lady Lucia's alliance! I think she wants to help of us with this alliance, do you want Xavism to grow ? Nobunaga will prevent that if you don't help Lady Lucia with this idea. She only asks to end the Oda!"

The Horsewoman then teared up, yelling, "What about the children, babies, mothers, or wives of the people who lose their lives from Nobunaga. You can prevent more families from feeling that pain! It isn't fair for them to feel that pain! I am sorry for speaking out of turn, but Nobunaga is a true enemy to everyone in Japan. If we don't accept the Ishida's request, we could all die."

~Providence 50, Shoreline. ~

Kraken stands at the shoreline the next morning, Crow and several Cutthroats stand about kicking rocks and prevailing their boredom upon him.

Crow: “You have not moved a muscle in 6 hours, if you don’t move soon I will pronounce you dead and we will do more thrilling things than watch the sunrise with you. We are so close to an enemy and we wait for the Hosokawa. I could dispatch some of my men now and we could have intelligence, we could begin moving.”

Kraken: “I do no want the Hosokawa to think we are up to anything, a bunch of assassins sneaking through his territories to the Fuma maw seem odd. We wait till lunch. If I don’t see any signs of an alliance before then we will hold our answer.”

Suddenly 2 figures burst from the foliage gasping for air. Some of the Cutthroats jump excitedly to their feet preparing for a fight, they slump back into their positions when they see who it is.

Crow: “Indigo and another Captain.”

Kraken turns with intrigue and approaches the two.

Kraken: “Oh Indigo, back I see and with a guest, Kraken my fine sir, to who do I have the honor to speak to?

The man holds his tongue for a second and fixes his posture.

Rinku: Rinku sir, of the Saika.

Indigo: “Lady Magoichi sent me with him to speak to you, *huff *puff… How did you go from Date territory to all the way down here, we were running for like days, you can only steal so many horses before you feel guilty.” *huff *puff.

Kraken: “Sorry Indigo, but you’ve arrived at the perfect time. I need you two to return and bring Magoichi to the Leviathan. I need to speak to her, I’ve seen some of her ships in this area so I know she's willing to cooperate. But I do not see her flagship so I sense she remained home. Go to her and urge her to meet me. If she refuses, tell her I will be most upset and send Crow back to her lands with a free pass. She will know what that means.”

Indigo and Rinku simultaneously: “Seriously, we just got here?”

Crow: “You heard him. Oh and Rinku, you have the look of a fine Ninja, you ever feel like wearing a dress and I’ll give you a chance to be one of my Cutthroats.”

Indigo and Rinku reluctantly turn slowly back to the woods before tearing off towards Saika territory. As they vanish the outline of Koujiro can be seen heading towards the group, with two advisors in tow.

Kraken: “Ah, he comes with advisors, this is good, I do not die today and I believe we have some new backers. It will be a good day indeed my Crow, send your Cutthroats to scout Fuma, we will keep our word, his lands will be mine before the weeks end.”

Crow: “Yes, oh before I forget, we found this messenger lurking about some time ago, but you didn’t want to be disturbed. He brought a message about forming some ward to stop Nobunaga.”

Kraken: “Interesting, well send the man back on his way, it sounds like an important message to delivery, but do tell him to tell his lord if Nobunaga’s ships cross path with the Levithan or my other vessels he can count on me to sink or steal all of them. That man has no class and it upsets me. (imitating the Oda) Oh I’m a big evil demon lord so listen to me or die… Ha we call that walking the plank or feeding the sharks… no class at all.”

Masamune is just traveling, still, on the dinky little boat.

~Kojuro - Providence 4 - Castle~

The messenger nodded nervously and was escorted out of the castle. As the messenger left, Whisper appeared out of the blue.

"It seems Uesugi have accepted the alliance with Ishida. Also, Nobunaga is planning an assault on the Ishida with the Iyokono forces.. Should I go inform Lord Date?" she had a cold tone to her voice.

"Wow, a fifteen-year old being battered down by an old man. She is obviously at a disadvantage. But, the Uesugi down in numbers could help us gain some land. Which army exactly went to help the Ishida?" Kojuro said. He straightened his glasses.

"What I saw, it was Kanetsugu in the lead. Once again, I ask if I should inform the lord?"
Whisper said. She opened up her dragon fan and started to fan herself with it.

"Yes. Masamune should know this." Kojuro concluded. Whisper seemed to vanish the same way she came.

This could be an opportunity to take over Uesugi land! But, we just returned from war. Maybe we will hit them when they come back battered up. We could easily land a seige on the castle. Kanetsugu is in charge of the providence closest to them. They must think we were going to take the alliance as well, since the Date were brought down to ruins. Nobunaga is starting to become a huge threat..almost as bad as Teremune....

Oichi brought Kojuro out of his thoughts, "Is something up? Is my brother after me?"

"No. He is attacking the Ishida now. We will take no part in this battle. We need to regroup and lick our wounds before going to another fight." Kojuro said to her. "The outcome of this battle is clearly obvious if Lady Lucia doesn't get enough armies."

~Takakage - Providence 60 - Near the Town~

The Azai put their capital in the little providence Chikugo. It is easily protected from both sides. The little band of Mori teenagers make their way to the capital.

"Wow, it's so huge!" Taka said. His mouth was gaping at the sight of the city. It was not as impressive as the Otomo, but it was huge! There was a lot of commotion and markets as far as the eye can see.

People seemed to glance at the Mori, but seeing it was so few and kids, they resumed to their normal lives. A nearby soldier stopped Taka and his group.

"Halt, what brings the Mori to the Azai?" the soldier said coldly to them.

"We are here to see Lord Nagamasa. We want to talk about a possible truce. Lady Oichi is scheduled to married Nagamasa and we want to see how that turned out." Takakage said calmly.

"Hmmmm, seems plausible enough. Follow me." the soldier turned around on his horse and led the way to the castle in the center of the city.

Kyoya rode up to Taka, "That was close! We could of been prisoners if he didn't believe us."

"Don't worry! The Mori are known for being humble anyways. Nagamasa is pretty chill last time I met him. He is such a nice guy."

~Sorin and Hanbei~ Province #56 Bungo
Hanbei turned towards Mikasa, adjusting his hat as he glared at her.
"Mikasa, I understand your sorrow, but our own safety might be better off if we don't go against the Oda. Perhaps we should side with Oda, they're the winning horse if I had to choose one side. You say Lady Lucia only asks to 'end' the Oda? You can't just wipe an army off the brink of existence. She isn't asking just to quell a little enemy- she is asking us to aid her in a full-on war. I urge you to not take on this alliance, there are too many risks."
"But as Mikasa said, we can spread the word of Xavism. You're forgetting who's the lord and who's the scholar here, Hanbei. You are here to take orders from me and help me out! I ultimately decide what we're going to do, because I'm the leader!" Sorin retorted, reading the letter again.
"Lady Lucia hasn't done ANYTHING noteworthy; If you ask me, she might not be able to help us in the way we want her to. We don't know where her strengths and capabilities lie. I urge you to request an audience with her befor-"
"Shush, Hanbei, I was getting to that! We will go see Lady Lucia and make out what she will do for us in agreement to this alliance!" Sorin's eyes gleamed.
"Sorin, we can't just sail out and-"
"-Of course we can! We're going to go see the fair lady and see what she has to offer!"
"But think about the Hojo....remember what I was saying earli-"
"Next stop, to Ishida territory! I need an adviser to set a ride up for me! I'm going even if you won't!"

~Nobunaga~ Province #28 Iga
Tsuruhime's army of horsemen soon arrived at the castle. The horsemen had slaughtered the guards at the gate, bringing on the attention of more Ishida warriors. Tsuruhime lead them into the castle, and the horsemen began dismounting and killing all in their way. Tsuruhime and a select group of Iyokouno archers meanwhile shot arrows at any of the men who were on top of the castle.
The Iyokouno and Oda forces soon realized that some of the men were wearing Uesugi uniforms - this was not planned; they had thought the Ishida would be alone.
"Alright everybody! Kill anyone that dares oppose us! That's what Nobunaga would say, I think," Tsuruhime shouted.
An Ishida and Uesugi officer came forward, leading a bunch of men to surround Tsuruhime and her band of archers.
"Give up, little girl," said the Uesugi officer, "He's only using you. You can turn the tide and switch to our side."
"Never! I will fight for what I believe is right, and that is peace!" Tsuruhime said, aiming her arrows at them. They laughed.
"We will show you true peace; we are not murderous like you!"

Meanwhile, Nobunaga lead his army through the undergrowth and forest. He would soon be able to arrive in due time, making sure to trap the Ishida. They will have nowhere else to go but to drown in their own blood.

~ Outside Providence 50, Leviathan ~

Kraken welcomes Koujiro and his advisors aboard the elegant longboat he uses for his more noble guests. Made from the finest wood and detailed in ivory it is hard to not notice the craftsmanship involved. They set sail towards the Leviathan.

Koujiro: "As a man of honor I must express my disapproval of the company you keep."

Kraken: "You object to me using women to fight for my cause, I never would expect you to object to the usefulness of both sexes in war."

Kraken smirks and releases a small chuckle. Koujiro places his head into the palm of his right hand and shakes it slowly.

Koujiro: "Assassins you imbecile, not women, I would never say such a th…" *pause while Kraken laughs a little more* "you knew what I meant yet you mock me?"

Kraken: "I try to be 10 steps ahead of anyone I’m with, friend or foe. It got me where I am, but I do have one major flaw with my tactic. I sometimes miss the step directly in front of me. Which is why I look forward to your lord joining my cause, you’ll keep me grounded when I begin to jump to far. Voice of reason is always needed in war. When anger clouds my judgment I need those with me to hold me back."

Koujiro: "I already object to your company you keep, why do I feel you’ll listen to me."

Kraken: "Stand with me for a bit, when you see how I use these assets you’ll learn I do not fight the same way as other cowards. I will assassinate targets, cause panic and destabilize lands. I will always keep a reason for these attacks. Fore without a reason I would just be unleashing chaos across the land. People do not protect me for being a monster, they stand by me because I do what is needed to keep them safe. So give me a chance, and continue to voice your disapproval, at one point I may start to listen." *foolhardy laugh*

Kraken pats a reluctant Koujiro on the shoulder before grabbing the netting at the side of the Leviathan. The team climbs up and is led by Krakens crew to a meeting chamber where they sit and discuss their tactics for the invasion of the Fuma lands.

Yay! Played some Samurai Warriors 4 and finally know how to control Taka's weapon Very Happy

~Masamune - Providence 4 - Harbor~

The boat reached a steady halt at the harbor of a familiar land. Masamune quickly hopped onto the shore of his 'home'. A old women was waiting for him with a dragon fan cover half of her face.

She whispers, "The Oda have made their move to attack the Ishida. Also, the Uesugi have come to aid the Ishida. This knowledge could potentially win you land. Use it wisely." Whisper seemed to vanish in the backround.

So, the Demon King made his move to attack the small Clan of Ishida? Well, I wonder how Lady Lucia will respond to this. Masamune continued to walk into the town. The townspeople were very happy to see that their lord has return. The girls giggled and the men nodded. The castle was in sight finally, it's tall structure gleaming in the sun. The stable lady was there to greet Masamune.

"Milord, you have finally returned. I too care of your horse while you were away. Kojuro was looking for you. Also-"

Masamune cut her off, "Thanks and I'm getting right to him. The pact is sealed with the Otomo, so no need to worry about them." He walked up the brief stairs and into the main hallway of the castle.

What Masamune found there wasn't what he was expecting. It was a girl, around his age, with the most gorgeus brown hair. Her face was angelic and her outfit fit her figure perfectly. Masamune was at a lost of words.

"Oh, you must be Lord Masamune, it's nice to finally meet you." the girl said to him. She gave him a nice smile.

"Y-yes, that's me. Could you explain to me why you are here?" Masamune choked on a few of his words. Why does she make me feel a queasy inside? It's just a girl!

"Oh, my name is Oichi Oda, former member of the Oda Clan. I'm taking refuge here."
her gaze darkened.

"You left the Oda? May I ask why?"
Masamune looked at her, puzzled.

"Well, my brother was going to force me into marrige with a complete stranger! I could do it. I had to leave. I ran into Kojuro and the army on their way back from the war. If I didn't meet them there, who knows what could of happened to me."
Oichi trailed off, her eyes full of sadness.

Masamune grabbed her hand and looked straight into her face, "I promise you are safe here. You don't need to worry about the Oda. You can stay here as long as you need to."

Oichi, looking back, "Thank you so much! I don't think I would of made it on my own." she retreated her hand from his grasp and turned to walk down the hall. She turned to him, "If you want to talk to me later, I will be in the courtyard for a nice walk. I don't mind company."

Masamune watched her go. He didn't watch her long until Kojuro spoke out to him, "Ah, Masamune, you have returned! A lot has happened since you departed. Now, shall we begin discussing our next move?"

~~~~~~~~~~~
~Takakage - Providence 60 - Castle~
The castle wasn't as impressive as the Otomo, but it was decent. The guard lead Taka and his group through the castle. Taka, just in case, took his spell book.
Nagamasa, with his back turned to them, was examining a map of Japan. "Lord Nagamasa! Some people from the Mori Clan are here to see you." the soldier said, bowing.
Nagamasa turned to face them, "Ah, Takakage, nice to see you! How have you been?" his tone was friendly.
"I've been good, Nagamasa! Thanks!" Taka replied. He gave Nagamasa a nice smile. "I wanted to discuss something with you."
"What may that be?"
"Well, regarding Oichi, I was thinking..." Taka was cut off.
"Oichi?! You know where Oichi is? WAIT, YOU must have Oichi! She was supposed to arrive last night. You kidnapped her and came to ransom her off, did you?" His joyful attitude quickly vanished into anger.
Sorry that I haven't posted, I had, literally no ideas, these past 2 weeks I had no ideas at all, and I feel bad that I couldn't post.
Lucia Provence 26
Lucia got outside her castle to see the Oda just broke through the Main Gate. Mitsunarusi then commanded soldiers to attack the oncoming forces.
Lucia yelled to Mitsunari, "Mitsunari, what's our condition?"
Mitsunari cut down a few soldiers before saying, Lady Lucia, you must leave now!
Kanetsugu then appeared and defeated 3 soldiers with his Magic Cards, then added, Lady Ishida, I can take you and Mitsunari to the Uesugi territory."
Lucia replied, "Thank you, Lord Kanetsugu, Mitsuari, we must retreat."
Mitsunari replied, Thank you, Kanetsugu."
Lucia got down to the ground and cut through a squad of Ikuyono soldiers as if they where paper.
The three warriors cut through the Ikuyono force and headed around the castle, avoiding conflict and got outide the castle area. Lucia gave a tear until, a swordsman , who carries a giant Katana attacked Lucia.
He then said, "Lady Ishida, you must die."
Mitsunari then said, "Ranmaru, it's futile. Step aside or die."
Lucia knew that Ranmaru wouldn't listen to her Cousin so she wielded Furaingufeari, saying, "For my father!"
Lucia then slashed at Ranumaru, hitting his shoulder. Ranumaru replied with his Katana and tried slashing Lucia but was only countered by Mitsunari.
Mitsunari and Kanetsugu distracted Ranmaru, as Lucia then slashed at Ranumarus side, then kicked him in the stomach, and paused her blade right by his neck, saying, "Stand down, Ranmaru. I don't want to end you. Now give me your choice!"
Ranmaru then stunned Lucia by hitting her blade back and prepared to kill her until a bomb exploded in his face, blinding him while Mitsunari cut him across his back with his fans, killing him.
Lucia then stood up and looked at the killed soldier, then took a deep breathe and continued on with Mitsunari and Kanetsugu, before putting Ranmaru's katana stabbed in the ground above his head.
~Sorin & Hanbei~ Province #56 Bungo
Hanbei stood there, annoyed at his Lord's wishes. However, what the leader wants the leader gets. Sorin's advisers prepared a magnificent, rich-looking ship for him to set off in. It was very much unlike the ship Hanbei had taken; it had the Otomo crest on it, and it was massive.
"Are you sure you want to leave in that flashy ship? It's kind of.....very noticeable." Hanbei observed.
"The might of the Otomo will blow any ship out of the waters that tries to hurt us! Now, Hanbei and Mikasa, watch over the provinces while I'm gone. Make sure the Hojo don't pull anything funny."
"Right......Sorin, don't get yourself killed," Hanbei said, and Sorin rolled his eyes. He then boarded his impressive ship with an army, and set off to travel to the Ishida land.
~Nobunaga~ Province #28 Iga
The Ishida and the Uesugi armies began retreating, and fast. Nobunaga arrived at the castle, busting down the back door and coming in. When he came in, he noticed that one of his most loyal soldiers, Ranmaru, had been killed.
What was he doing here? He was supposed to go kill Magoichi.....I better tell Mitsuhide the news.
Tsruhime came in with blood covering her bow.
"Nobunaga sir, they are starting to retreat towards Uesugi land!" Tsuruhime said, "should we pursue them?"
"No. Mitsunari's head isn't worth taking.....yet. The Ishida should be made into an example of what happens when you oppose us. Secure the castle, Tsuruhime. We'll take this land and we can stamp them out later. Many, many armies are starting to enter this war. Let's wait for the m to perish under each other's throats."
"Right!" Tsuruhime acknowledged, turning to lead her men to kill any remaining Ishida soldiers.
Mikasa: Province #56 Bungo
Mikasa bowed to Sorin, saying, "Milord, can I request to watch over Bungo? I'd rather wish to not be far from my Husband."
Kirito: Province #
Kirito broke into the castle with his Royal Gaurds: Asuna, Agil, Klein, and a small squad of Sanada Kunoichi's.
Kirito, put almost no effort into killing Imagawa foot soldiers, since they where poorly trained. That was until 3 gun men then aimed their Rifles at the Black Swordsman. Kirito knew how easily it was to counter Rifles. That counter was to see where they are looking, and upon shooting, is to slash where they where looking.
Kirito then looked at the first Riflemen and felt time slow, he then followed his sighting to Kiritos shoulder, then upon the Riflesmen firing, he cut the bullet out of the air, and returned fire with a needle, and nailed his foes heart with it. Kirito then backfired and killed the other two Riflemen before they shot their Rifles.
Klein then said to Kirito, "Stop trying to show off, man!"
Asuna replied to Klien, "Then pull your own weight. You only killed one Imagawa back there."
Klein replied to Asuna, "Atleast I'm not carrying a frail weapon. That blade can break like it's glass."
Kirito ignored Klien's remark, and countinued on into the Imagawa castle.
Yukimura Province #15 Kai
Yukimura, was doing his normal intense training session, that was until one of his servants came in, saying, "Milord, Lady Koshosho of the Chokabase, has requested to meet you inside the Castle.
Yukimura then nodded, and stopped his training session to meet Lady Koshosho, Wife of Motochika Chokabase. Yukimura then went into the meeting hall to meet her.
~ Providence #49 Invasion ~
The plan up to now has gone perfectly. Crow’s Cutthroats have succeeding in throwing distress across the territory. Many high ranking officers have fallen and while leadership hastened to the next levels Kraken released his main threat. Unleashing a full barrage on coastal threats. The Leviathan along with the fleet of the Black Rose Harlots claimed victory over victory over the small humble Fuma fleet and it’s coastal barracks.
Kotoro watched from atop the highest level in his castle. A smirk across his face. He pulled a large telescope from a nervous advisor and pulled it open. He chuckled more as he saw the Leviathan and many other ships discharging his men across the land. Kotoro smiled again.
Kotoro: “So you come yourself, wishing to avenge the death of your friend. Deneb was always a violent woman, choatic like me. I did mourn the loss of such a fun person sadly. Now you’ll join her in the abyss of nothing. Your new allies wont protect you and leaving your best soldier Koujiro on your ship. You think you know me, from my past actions I have went for complete destruction and sinking your prized ship would destroy what you hold. But you must think me stupid, you think I would suspect Koujiro to be on the front lines instead of on your own ship. Well my little captain, you don’t pay enough attention, at the end of the day I will hold your head atop my castle for all to see, and as for your assassin, she will be beneath my heel."
Fuma Advisor: “Sir, we are losing ground all around the castle, if we do not flee now they will be at our gates from all sides, with no escape. I beseech thee run.”
Kotoro: “Let them come, run if you wish. Today will be victory for us fore as I can see, Kraken comes with a small group including Crow, a few Cutthroats, and an advisor. I will hold until they arrive.”
Kotoro looked over the land as soldiers from both Krakens fleet and Hosokawa took land. Fuma encampments fell with infighting due to lack of leadership, defection ran rampant. Kotoro would punish all those who did not stand for him after Krakens attempt was quelled but for now. Chaos ensued and Kotoro smiled.
~Masamune - Providence 4 - Castle~
Masamune, startled by Kojuro's voice, turned around. "Oh, hey Kojuro. Long time no see." Kojuro lead them into the strategist's room, with the map of Japan on the table. Kojuro placed flags for each of the Clans on the map. Blue for Date, Black for Oda, and so on.
Before Kojuro could respond, a scout ran in. "New status report! Our spy who was observing Uesugi Territory discovered that the Ishida had a full scale retreat. They are residing with the Uesugi. Also.."
He was cut off by Masamune, "What? She didn't even try to fight back. I suppose the Demon King would be a tough opponent, but that was a childish move."
"Actually, it might of been the only option they had left. The Oda forces are very strong. Before you go, would you deliver this letter." Kojuro turned to the scout and handed him a folded up piece of paper.
"Ye...yes sir! Also, there is someone here to see Masamune. She claims to be his 'aunt.'" the scout said nervously.
As if on queue, a woman walks into the room. She had a bright purple bow in her hair and similar facial features to Masamune. "Masamune-kun, remember me, it's Aunt Lilly! My, you grew into a handsome young man." She walked over and started pinch his cheeks.
Masamune pushed her hand away, "Aunty this isn't the best time. You know I'm now the Clan leader!" In the corner of his eye, Masamune saw Kojuro smirking, trying to hold back laughter.
"I came to see how you are doing! I worry about you sometimes. Your mother was always worried about you after she left and my husban-"
"WAIT! You knew what happened to my mother after she left all those years ago?" Masamune stared at his aunt with interest. "Why did she leave? Why?" Tears started to well up in his eyes.
"Oh Masamune...I think it is about time I told you the truth...she left..she left because Terumune was abusing her. He used to beat her and scare her for no reason it seemed. She left..she left because she became very sick. We weren't sure if her or the child she was bearing was going to make it. She wanted to take you with her..but Terumune was all over you. She had to do what was right for her..and the baby..."
Lilly trailed off.
"Let's back up a step here. Child? I have a sibling?!" Masamune's eye grew wide.
Lilly nodded sadly, "We were both worried about the child. If it was girl, we were worried that Terumune would kill her. If it was a boy, well, we saw how he treated you. The child was already going to be weaker from all the abuse. It turned out to be a boy. We named him Shigeharu. Rose gave him to me to raise because she was still very sick after bearing him. He was a fine son, just less active than you ever were. My husband loved him like his own." Lilly concluded the story.
Masamune was stunned. I have a sibling..What if they are a peasant? What if I killed them in this last war? What if they work with the Oda? Family needs to look after each other... It's my duty to find them. It's my responsibility. "Do you know what happened to Shigeharu?" He asked softly.
"Well, after Terumune burned downed our village after figuring out his wife escaped there, I lost sight of Shigeharu. But, I believe he found his way around. He could be a merchant for all we know." Lilly said. "I know this is a lot to take in." She gave Masamune a hug.
Koujuro raised an eyebrow with interest at the conversation.
~Takakage - Providence 60 - Castle~
"Nagamasa, pleased calm down. The Mori would never stoop to such low measures. I was here do discuss a possible alliance or truce because of the Azai turning into the Oda. I can let you know that we didn't see an Oda escort party on our way here." Taka tried to defend his Clan.
"That is what a lier would say! I know you sly Mori foxes, using strategy for everything. Tell your old man this. This is war. If you don't bring Oichi here in three days, the Azai will come and eliminate the Mori." Nagamasa continued to glare at Takakage.
"But, we honestly don't have Oichi! She must of gotten captured by some other Clan. Please Nagamasa, you have to believe me!" Takakage pleaded.
"No buts! Out of my sight. Remember my warning."
Nagamasa turned his back to Takakage. Takakage was ready to send a magic spell on Nagamasa, when Kyoya grabbed his shoulder.
"No, we need to leave. We need to tell you dad about this right away. Unless we get Oichi somehow, we are going to fighting with the Azai, which are triple our size."
Kyoya said sadly. Takakage lowered his book and followed his friends out of the castle.
~Hanbei~ Province #56 Bungo
After Sorin had set off, Hanbei face-palmed. I know that alliance isn't a good idea....the Ishida don't seem to have much to offer. But I guess Sorin's selfishness has taken a hold of him. All I can do is prepare these two provinces of ours for war. The Hojo aren't going to take things lightly. Knowing them, they're plotting against us at the moment.
Hanbei headed back towards the castle, already formulating a new plan in his head. He would not let the Otomo fall to such poor choices. After all, this war needed to end so he could have the naptime he's always wanted.
~Sorin~ Sailing on a boat
Sorin's ship sailed steadily across the waters. It was a particularly beautiful day, and there was no trouble in navigating. He planned to sail to Iyokouno's territory, lead by the beautiful Tsuruhime. She would surely let them pass, being a naive young girl. Sorin planned to head to Ishida territory and then seal an alliance, under certain terms of course. He wanted to protect the Otomo clan and further expand their influence in the war. He had decided the Otomo should not rest until Xavism was spread throughout the land.
~Nobunaga~ Province #28 Iga
The remaining enemy soldiers in the castle had been killed. Their bodies were ordered to be burned in a fire without mourning. The people of this land would be forced to accept the new rule of Nobunaga.
Nobunaga came out to give a speech to the frightened people.
"People of the Ishida. I am now your new ruler. Lucia, your warlord, has abandoned you all in your time of need. She's like a little puppy, running away from her problems. However, I do believe in the philosophy an eye for an eye," Nobunaga glared down, "Lucia will have the choice to do as she wishes. She will either sacrifice herself, or we will kill every citizen of this province." The people gasped at this response.
"Don't try to run, my new citizens. The army will shoot anyone that attempts to cross the border. Lucia will have five days to present herself for execution. If she does not, her people will die. It was selfish of her to leave you all, now wasn't it? She didn't stand up and fight for you. She ran, like a coward! And if she turns her back on this proclamation, you'll see her true nature. She might not really have cared at all. The girl will either come to save her people or will watch them all die. That is all."
~Providence 49 - Invasion - Castle~
The Hosokawa had beaten Krakens men to the Castle, taking up positions of defense, they had the martial skill taught by their superiors to make them deadly enemies in open one on one fights. They fell short when it came to tight spaces and coward based tactics. So Kraken used this to his advantage, by keeping them outside they would be able to hold off any reinforcements while his men, truly adept at handling tight conditions and surprises from fighting throughout ships in their times would make way into the castle. Kraken and Crow made it to the gates, with a rolling hand motion from the advisor the Cutthroats made their way into the castle, jumping gates and crashing through walls created by explosions.
Kotoro Fuma watched over the chaos, while he ultimately knew his victory over Kraken was near he was impressed with the Captains ability to mix chaos and straight forward war together. His destabilizing tactics proved very effective, men without commanders usually ran. Indeed they did as Kotoro watched yet another squad break with only a few casualties of there leading superiors. He took another look out towards The Leviathan, still sitting just off the shoreline. Koujiro’s outline could still be seen, his hat pulled down slightly blocking the sun from his face and casting a dark shadow. Kotoro sighed slightly. He had heard of Koujiro’s ability in combat and wished to test his metal. Men of honor usually fell fast, unable to comprehend the chaos Kotoro loved to weave across the field.
Suddenly a violent explosion tore the entire front gate from the castle grounds, Fuma men retreated out from the lower levels as a nasty green gas flooded out from within. Kraken stood motionless, while his advisor approached to inspect.
Advisor:”It’s dissipated enough, time to move in Captain. I’ll remain outside and coordinate our men and prepare the smoke.”
Small units of Hosokawa and Kraken men moved in while Kraken strode slowly into the building making his way up. Kraken fought his way past unit after unit of Fuma soldiers, dropping them as if they were nothing. Crow watched for back attacks and dealt with any Fuma assassins.
Crow: “You walk with an arrogance, tread lightly or it may be your folly.”
Kraken: “I’ve trained and suffered for my skill. While I stood honorably you crept in the shadows of deceit, you should watch yourself.”
Crow shrugged off his comment as she caught yet another blade aimed for Krakens back. Kraken continued silent, pushing aside force after force until making it to the final floor. Crow stepped slowly inside hesitant. Suddenly a gate slammed separating her from Kraken. A dark laughter echoed from below at the bottom of the stairs.
Kotoro: Trapped without your precious Crow, this shall be easy.
Kotoro darted up the stairs for Kraken slashing out with one of his chain blades. Kotoro was shocked when the Captain moved with such speed and skill, knocking aside the blade, he leaned on the banister and slid past Kotoro back to the lower level taking off down a hallway. Kotoro looked towards the trapped Crow and smiled.
Kotoro: The last thing you’ll see of your dear captain was his cowardice, how delicious.
Kotoro sped after Kraken as Crow looked quickly for and escape. Suddenly several ninjas appeared in trapdoors above her and dropped surrounding her. They all stood circling, none wanting to make the first move.
Crow: Dirty fighters and cowards the lot of us. Take some notes since I was told not to kill everyone I encountered.
With a quick exhale Crow pressed the levers in her sleeves unleashing the mechanisms. Two curved blades shot out from each of her lower arms, both the size of a foot or so. With a quick twirl she spun klinking blade on blade from the defensive ninjas, those who did not react quickly fell backward with gashes down their chests and arms.
Crow: Down to three, well come get me.
Crow bowed quickly before backflipping into the ninjas trapdoors and making her way down on the other side of the gate. The ninja who reacted first was unfortunate as he jumped into the duct behind her he saw the small vial she left in the duct. The liquids combined from blue and red to black and then it exploded outward. Fire flooded the ceiling igniting the trapdoors and castle.
Crow: Now you two can find your way out and not burn alive I hope. I’ll be killing your lord, enjoy the suffocation.
Kotoro continued after Kraken, who seems oddly adept at dodging his many slashes and tricks. With his chase continuing a smile crept across his face, he knew the hall would end in a small changing room. Kraken was done for. Kotoro looked back just in time to see one of his followers be grabbed by a chain and pulled back out of the chase, his entire unit of ninjas were missing at this point.
Kotoro: You’re back there aren’t you Crow! Well it will be too late. Kraken dies now!
The hall ended into the small room Kraken stopped in front of a cabinet and turned to face his advisory pulling his hat down over part of his face. Kotoro stopped just inside the room and slammed the door and pushed a table in front of it. Outside he could hear Crow slamming her weight into the door.
Kotoro: Any last words?
Kraken:…
Kotoro: The always mouthy Kraken has nothing to say, well I will say at least your screams will echo throughout the land.
Kotoro reared back and did a forward charge with his right blade. Just before he struck he saw Kraken move with a speed and agility like no man. In an instant a long blade was pulled and with a quick motion Kotoro stopped. He walked a few steps to the side of Kraken staring in disbelief. A searing pain in his shoulder.
Kotoro: How? How did you do that?
Kotoro's entire right arm dropped off from his shoulder, blood shot across the floor and walls. The table fell over as Crow managed her way into the room with the help of some of her allied soldiers.
???: Because I am not the man you think I am.
Koujiro took off Krakens hat, and with a quick untie he dropped the heavy mantle of the Pirate King. Crow slowly made her way to his side.
Crow: Not bad for a man of honor wouldn’t you say Kotoro? I mean he played the part quite well, except for actually being a good swordsmen, you should of seen this coming. I mean we all know the Kraken I swore allegiance to could barely hold his own against a bottle of rum.
Koujiro: I would never have done this to an honorable man, but for far to long your version of Chaos has spread like wildfire.
Kotoro: You played me for a fool. I, I, Kraken watched from the ship dressed as you the whole time. I should of… I shall still take his head!
With a quick turn Kotoro swung with his left hand at Koujiro. With a quick step backward Koujiro dodged the stumbled attacks as Kotoro fell forward.
Koujiro: I cannot kill an injured man, we shall take him as a hostage.
Crow: I can.
With a fast step behind him she unsheathed Denebs sword and drove it through his neck. Kotoro reached up grabbing the part of the blade exiting his neck and spurting blood before going limp. Koujiro looked away in disgust.
Koujiro: He was defenseless, he wasn’t a threat. You still killed him. Why?
Crow began to exit the room. She stopped at the door and looked back at him.
Crow: Because I could.
~Masamune - Providence 4 - Castle~
"Aunty, I need to find my brother. But, I have duties out here. There never seems to be a good time to take a break. I just want to make sure he is okay, since he is my responsibility. He also had the right to know about where he truly came from." Masamune let go of his aunt. He pulled down the armor and coat blocking the front of his right shoulder. On his skin, was a birthmark, the Date birthmark. Terumune, and everyone in their line had it somewhere on it on them. "I can prove that it's him with this, a shabby birthmark. Also, he has got to look similar to me. We came from the same parents, as much as I regret telling him that monster was his father.."
"Masamune, sometimes the truth is the hardest to thing to say. I could never tell him myself. A lie protected him from Terumune, for a while. The fire burned down our whole village. Terumune left no survivors. Shigeharu could of easily died in the fire, along with the countless souls that man took. I'm sorry Masamune, but it's more than not that Shigeharu is dead." Lilly said sadly.
Kojuro quietly listened to the conversation. Masamune noticed while he was listening, he was examining the treaty papers that they made with Hanbei and Kraken. Always thinking two steps ahead, like you always do. He fixed his glasses and looked up at Masamune. Masamune turned his gaze back at his aunt.
"Well, aunty, it was nice having this chat with you, but I must continue my role as a warlord. You can stay here as long as you like" Masamune said, leading his aunt out of the room.
"I know Masamune-chan! Just make sure you wash behind your ears an-" She was cut off by Masamune slowly closing the door.
Kojuro finally spoke, "So, that was interesting. Why don't you go rest for the rest of the day. We surely aren't attacking the Uesugi as long as the Ishida are taking refuge there. We will turn our attention to Tokugawa. However, there is something I need to discuss with Hanbei, the strategist of the Otomo. I will be taking my leave later today on the fastest vessel we have."
"But I just saw them....forget it. Enjoy yourself Kojuro. I'm sure Hanbei will be able to help you with whatever you need help with." Masamune said. He was a bit annoyed his strategist was leaving.
Kojuro nodded and replied, "Just don't be an imbecile while I'm away, this shouldn't take too long. We have a ship that can reach there very fast since it is light." He walked out of the room and seemed to prepare for his journey.
Later that day, Kojuro was heading to the harbor with Masamune. "Are you sure about this, Kojuro?" Masamune asked him.
"I'm sure, and I will be fine." Kojuro said. The harbor loomed ahead. The boat that Kojuro was taking was already prepared in the harbor. Kojuro quickly jumped on it and gave Masamune a small wave of goodbye. The ship took off and was lost in the horizon.
Masamune headed back to the castle. In the courtyard, like promised, Oichi was there. She seemed to looking at the nearby wild flowers growing in it. Masamune approached her.
"Oh hello, Lord Masamune!" Oichi said cheerfully. She stood up and brushed some grass of her skirt.
Masamune knew that he shouldn't be spilling secrets with a possible enemy, but he needed someone to talk to. "It turns out...all along I had a younger brother. I've never knew him but...he..he might be dead. He..." Masamune continued his story for Oichi. She listened carefully and didn't speak until the end.
"You should hope for the best. If you need help, I would be more than happy to help look for your brother. It would be better to search for him and find him dead than to never search for him and wonder if he's dead. You need to get your mind off of things for a while. Let's go for a horse-ride!" Oichi said happily.Before he could say 'no', Oichi ran over to the stable lady and asked for Masamune's horse. Masamune walked over, more slowly. Masamune sighed and gently picked up Oichi and placed her on his black horse. He got on in front of her. The horse set off slowly for the forest path.
~Takakage - Providence 60 - Town~
Taka was fidgeting on what to say to his father. I let him down, and I know it. What are we to do? Fight two battles at once. The Mori are sure to be destroyed, and it's my fault. But, could we send in a girl and call her 'Oichi'? There is no way Nagamasa should know the difference. But, the Oda would soon find out it's not her. Oh gosh, what to do? What to do?
Takakage was brought out of his thoughts by Kyoya, who was leading him out of the castle. "Look, we will think of something with your father. We might be able to get the Otomo to vouch for our innocence. There will, however, be no sympathy from the Hojo, for taking their providence..."
"I guess my father does know best, but this was my decision. I failed him." Taka said sadly.
"Nonsense! Your father isn't perfect either! We are all are not perfect. Even the ravage legend of Terumune must of had some kindness in his dark heart." Kyoya said. They left the castle while talking. Their horses were nearby, with the Mori adornments on them.
The group quickly mounted the horses and left with Takakage in the lead. Taka could feel Nagamasa's cold gaze on his back as he left. It sent a chill down his spine. He is really angry...
Takakage and his buddies quickly left the town behind them. The rolling hills of the Azai land roamed in front of them once again as they made their way, steadily, towards home.
~Hanbei~ Province #56 Bungo
Hanbei yawned, stretching out on a chair inside of the castle. He knew he probably should be preparing for war against the Hojo - after one little nap.
"Just.......a.....few....minutes...." Hanbei said as he laid back, closing his eyes. The Otomo's strategist sometimes can't help but slack off whenever there is an opportunity.
~Sorin~ Sailing on a Boat and arrives at Province #55 Iyo
Sorin's magnificent ship had stopped at a nearby port. Sorin wondered what the big hold up was. That's funny. We weren't supposed to stop until we reached Iyokouno territory.
An adviser came in in the room and kneels before Sorin.
"My Lord, it appears that we cannot go any farther."
"What?! Why not?! I demand we go further."
"It appears we will be passing by Oda territory. Not that they will attack up, but the Oda's shores must be avoided. If we plan to pass, we need a plan."
"This is stupid! I'm going to have a chat with the captain myself!" Sorin said, stomping off to find the captain. The captain was talking to someone of high status from the Maeda. They seemed to be discussing clans.
"Captain! What's wrong?!" Sorin yelled, "I demand we go further!"
"It appears we have a problem," the captain replied, "Lady Tsuruhime has made an alliance with Oda Nobunaga. That land is not safe to pass through. Also, the Maeda have reported that a series of wars have been breaking out there. The Ishida are a clear target. We should turn back to our homeland and forget about this alliance."
~Nobunaga~ Province #38 Iga
Nobunaga and Tsuruhime's men have completely secured the castle. Any people who showed any signs of rebellion were immediately killed.
The Ishida Ward surely will be hindered.
A messenger had arrived at the castle and handed Nobunaga a letter. He opened it.
Dear Nobunaga,
                 We will soon secure the provinces to the North. Don't worry about a thing. Everything is going according to plan, and no one has suspected anything yet. There just hasn't been an opportunity to seize the land yet. Our plan to conquer the land in the south has been hindered a bit by Oichi. She has escaped and was never delivered to Azai territory. I promise that I will ensure that she doesn't cause anymore problems. Be patient, and you will be rewarded shortly. This news may anger you but I am here to inform you I am doing the best I can to ensure peace. A land of peace is what we strive for together.
~Gracia~ Province #31 Yamato
A young girl walks clumsily in her new high-heel boots. They were a gift to her from her father, since he wants her to grow up. Gracia is a young, charming, innocent beauty of the age of 22. Her father expects her to marry someone of high status that will benefit the Oda Clan overall.
"My father doesn't understand that I don't want to get married, I want to see the world! I'm sure there's so many wonderful places and people out there.....It's a strange yet beautiful world! But why does he force me to stay home all the time? It's never any fun, having only a few friends...." Gracia sat down on a chair, sighing. she glanced over at her tea set. The teapot was filled with delicious tea, and there was a tray of cookies. Gracia wished that a friend was there to share some of her tea and cookies.
"I wonder how Ran-chan is doing. He was out a mission, I'm not sure what. But I hope he comes back soon....Ranmaru is a very loyal man to Nobunaga and my father."
Gracia's father, Mitsuhide, came into the room. He has a distressed look on his face.
"What is it, father? Has Ran-chan returned home?!" Gracia's green eyes gleamed.
"No, Gracia, he hasn't........he's...dead." Mitsuhide said, and then Gracia started to tear up.
"Dead? What do you mean dead?!"
~Providence 49 Castle~
Kraken walked slowly through the lands towards his newly acquired castle. Large plumes of violet smoke filled the air, the signal for forgiveness to the Fuma people. It was a signal for all of Kraken and Hosokawa men to allow Fuma soldiers chance to join, to realize there wrongs and right them by joining the army of the people. Thus Kraken strolled by many men, Hosokawa uniforms, pirate outfits and Fuma gear all stood side by side honoring him as he passed. As he finally arrived at the castle he saw Crow and Koujiro waiting in the courtyard giving orders to their many officers and some new Fuma ones as well.
Kraken: Ah, honored allies and friends. How goes the transfer of power?
Crow: Good for now, a few groups of Fuma still fight us but with most their officers realizing we do not wish to hunt them all down and murder them senselessly they are coming over and joining up. I also have two new recruits from Kotoros personal ninja squad. Meet Ki and Si, the only two ninja I encountered who I did not slay, they will make fine additions to my rosters.
Ki and Si bow to Kraken. Their ninja garb torn,bloodied, burned and smoke damaged. They have been through the fires of hell and survived. Crow turns to grab a pile of garbs from an assistant and tosses them at their feet, the clothe bears both the symbols of Kraken and Fuma.
Ki: My Lord
Si: We wish to serve grand master.
Kraken: Interesting, please call me Kraken, I hope you can overlook past transgressions. If Crow deems you superior then far be it for me to question your abilities. Go forth and try to calm your fellow countrymen, I do not wish anymore harm. If they wish to continue against me, then please try to persuade them to come directly to me, I will hear them out on their issues and try to address them and promise not to harm their messengers. If they will not talk, then you know what to do.
Ki and Si: Yes, Kraken.
Koujiro: Sending ninja to calm people is like sending a shark give swimming people something to look at.
Kraken: I understand, I wish to address the Fuma Officers to do the same, take their men and spread word and messages of what transpired and calm the people. I will not be marching into villages and burning traitors. I need these people to pull together for me and pledge to join my cause. I must gather a greater army.
Koujiro: Then what do you plan next.
Kraken: I will bring all Fuma territories to my side, after so I will march against the Hojo, they will be given chance to join behind me as well or be conquered.
Well, I'm going to do some speed traveling so we can get the action rolling.
~Kojuro - Providence 56 - Harbor~
The small, fast boat moved very fast in the water. It reached top speeds that could easily break records. It was able to reach it's destination in a few hours, but it lacked a lot of supplies. The boat docked on the harbor and Kojuro departed from it. The people of the town seemed to look at him with puzzled looks. Some of them whispered, "Isn't that Kojuro from the Date? What's he doing here? Does he know Lord Sorin isn't present at the moment?"
Kojuro took this in with a smirk. Lord Sorin isn't here. That's perfect! I only wanted to talk to Hanbei anyways. He quickened his pace towards the castle. While he was walking, he attached his shield containing a sword and gun on his arm. An Otomo advisor came to greet Kojuro.
"Ah, you must be Master Kojuro! Welcome! Would you like to speak with Hanbei? Lord Sorin is not present at the moment." the advisor said.
"That would be wonderful! Please take me to him." Kojuro said. The advisor nodded and led Kojuro into the gem-encrusted doors. He led Kojuro down a pearly-white hallway and stopped at a door.
"Hanbei is in there. But, I advise you not to wake him up if he is sleeping. He can be cranky at time." the advisor walked away before Kojuro could answer.
Kojuro, being fearless, opened the door. He noticed right away the snoozing tactician in the chair, grinning in his sleep. Typical.The Date tactician grabbed the largest book he could find in the room and slammed it on the table. Hanbei woke up with wide eyes.
~Masamune - Providence 4 - Forest~
The trees seem to blur as the horse galloped on. Oichi hugged Masamune so she wouldn't fall off. Masmune slowed his horse to a trot. "What was it like in the Oda? Was it that much different? Did your brother actually treat you with any respect?"
"So many questions! The Oda were like any other family. It was when Nobunaga took to power that he started to change. He treated me with respect until his duties as the Warlord started to take over his mind. I couldn't bear to an object that he could just use anymore. I will not marry Nagamasa!" Oichi said.
"Ah Nagamasa..I never met the guy.." Masamune said back to her. His horse suddenly stopped. It was panting for breath and started to nibble on the grass.
"Haha, looks like Lusa wants to take a break!" Oichi said chuckling.
"Lusa?" Masamune asked questioning her.
"The name of your horse silly! It helps you get through many battles so you should give her a name." Oichi said. She jumped off the horse.
"Be careful!" Masamune said jumping off after her. "I don't want you to get a sprained ankle or something."
"I'm not a little girl, Lord Date! So you shouldn't treat me like one!" Oichi said teasingly. She grabbed one of his hands and starts to lead him farther into the forest.
"Do you even know where you are going?" Masamune asked, smirking.
"Well, no! But I'll let my instincts guide me. Oh look! How cute!" Oichi pointed to a tree branch. In the branch, there was a birds nest with 3 large eggs inside. The mother bird was sitting on them while the father bird came back with some food to eat. Just like a family...One day I want to have my own family... Masamune looked at Oichi. She seemed to have a gleeful expression on her face and happy. His heart started to race. Is she the one?
"Hey Masamune! Why don't you tell me a bit about where you came from." Oichi said.
"Well, it wasn't all bad I guess. I used to live in Oshu-ummm, it's now Tokugawa territory-and Kojuro and I got into all sorts of trouble. We got scolded for 'exploring' the woods for the 'monster.' Kojuro also taught me how to read and write, since my father would never teach me so." Masamune continued, "and one day, my goal is regain my homeland, Oshu, and bring the Date back to greatness. NOT like my father, however." He looked at the birds again.
"What a lovely dream! I'll help you achieve it, I promise Masamune." Oichi said. "We better be getting back before it gets to dark. But first!" Oichi walked up to Masamune and kissed him on the cheek. "A small parting gift." Masamune's emotions swirled around him. He started to blush and lost the will to speak. I can't deny it. I'm in love with Oichi. But, is that a bad thing? For the first time in my life, I have something I want to protect as close as family. Just you wait Shigeharu, I will find you, dead or alive, and bring you back to the rightful family.
~Takakage - Providence 62 - Border~
Home loomed ahead. Taka and his not very merry band of friends arrived at their border. The scenary seemed to fly by and the small harbor town loomed ahead. In that town was home. In that town was Motonari.
Taka pushed all the bad thoughts out of his brain. It will be alright. I'm sure it will.
"Uh, Takakage! There seemed to be a messenger over there! See him in the blue!" Kyoya said, pointing. Not far from them was indeed a messenger. From the looks of it, it was from the Ishida. Taka rode up to greet him.
"Hello! What brings you to Mori Land?"
Taka asked with a smile.
"The Ishida want to form the 'Ishida Ward', but I got news from the last town I visited that the Ishida were defeated by the Oda. So, I'm not sure what to do anymore. I can't go back home."
the messenger had sadness in his voice.
"Well, you should come with us to see my father. He might let you live out your days in our humble town." Takakage said. I'm not worrying more people than necessary.
"Thank you! The Oda seemed to be destroying more and more homes everyday, you know? I heard about an alliance with the Azai, but I wonder what happened to that.."
the chatty Ishida man continued on.
The group eventually reached the town gates. Upon seeing Takakage, the guards opened the gates and greeted them with open arms. Taka immediately headed straight for the castle. I gotta face him sometime...
Spoiler:
~Hanbei~ Province #56 Bungo
This dialog was written with the help of Seek
Hanbei's eyes opened wide at Kojuro's book slamming. What? The Date Clan again? Why can't they leave me alone, they sure do make alot of noise....what does Kojuro possibly want at a time like this? Masamune just sealed the alliance!
Hanbei walked over to the door and shut it. That way no one could hear the conversation. He walked back to his seat and lazily sat down.
"Greetings, Kojuro. So, what Clan are we going to help you fight? I didn't think the Date required help right now, but I guess the rumors were correct. Your leader is, in fact, reckless. That is why you are here, yes?"
"Actually, I came on my own accord," Koujuro said, adjusting his glasses.
"Okay? So, what do you desperately want then?" Hanbei asked.
"Well, Shigeharu," Kojuro said, and Hanbei flinched.
"My name is Hanbei -Hanbei Takenaka, if you will. Now, what do you want?" Who is this freak? How does he know my first name? I thought I completely erased that part of me after my parents died.
"I came to ask you a few questions. It won't take very long."
Hanbei rolled his eyes. This is a waste of time. I woke up from my nap for this?
"Do you have any birthmarks on your skin?" Kojuro asked.
"No, I don't. My skin is ordinary as any other. It burns in the sun, and freezes in the cold. Now, is that all? Or are you just trying to compare me with your Lord or something like a sick old man," Hanbei yawned.
"For a fact, I'm not really old. If I was old, you're not that far off from being an old crow yourself," Koujiro retorted. Hanbei yawned again and put his feet up on the table. He leaned back in his seat, comfortably. Kojuro watched the lazy boy with a sharp eye. His eyes narrowed and then he adjusted his glasses again.
"Next question. Who are your parents?" Kojuro asked. Hanbei raised an eyebrow. What's with this guy? Does he even discuss real strategy.
"My parents are Lily Takenaka and Tamaki Takenaka. Now, are we going to discuss something relevant to the war? Or can I go back to sleep?"
"Oh but, we are," Kojuro said, grinning. He pulled a knife out of his coat.
"A knife?! What's that for?" Hanbei stammered, speechless.
"For killing people. Aren't you the All-knowing Hanbei?" Kojuro said, as he advanced towards Hanbei, "You would agree with me that a true strategist would want to eliminate all enemies to unite the land, right?"
"So, I don't see why we need a knife right now. I'm just the strategist for the Otomo army. If you plan to use it on me, I won't let you! I have to live....so I can take another nap...."
"Well, you have other reasons why you should live instead of sloth. Shigeharu Date, you must be killed. You are a hinderance to the Oda army. The Date strongly oppose the Oda. Teremune and his legacy must be eliminated."
"I'm not related to that psychopath Teremune, or his obnoxious poor excuse for an heir! What are you talking about?! I come from a poor farm family. We farmed rice by day. I only started going to school because my mom saw I had true talent. That is why Ms. R tutored me."
"Your life.....is a lie!" Kojuro said, thrusting Hanbei to the floor.
"I don't understand..." Hanbei said, and then grabbed his bladed sundial, "Are you even loyal to the Date? Does Masamune even know about your psychopathic thoughts?!"
"Oh Masamune, he's just a mere pawn. Once I use you as bait, he'll come running."
"What do you mean, come running? He's not going to care about the strategist of some snotty kid!"
"But he will. Sorin will complain, and ask for our help. He'll jump at the chance, trying to scramble to find his brother too. He's insecure, unable to accept new ideas and never thinks once about the truth. That is why he played right into my hands."
"Wait?! What?! Why didn't you take him out sooner!" Hanbei said, his eyes wide. Kojuro chuckled.
"That reckless idiot always kept a friend or two around. Anytime he was alone, it was inappropriate to kill him. He's always helping people....being with people....it sickens me! I couldn't murder him at night, or everyone would know it was an assasination. Doing it covertly is hard, ya'know? I could possibly be the heir to the Date Clan if the leader dies from an "accident"....but, now that you're alive, that means you could be the heir! My plan would be in vain just to be taken over by another one..."
"But I'm not the man you're thinking of! You got it all wrong!" Hanbei said, trying to escape, but Kojuro put his foot on his chest, pressing his into the ground. He started to suffocate Hanbei.
"Well, Shigeharu Date, did you see the pretty little birthmark on your ankle? And you also signed our treaty with your full name....Shigeharu Takenaka. How adorable! You played right into my hands."
"What? OH, so that's what that is...." Hanbei trailed off, and Kojuro kept pressing down. Hanbei started choking. I can't believe him! He found out my name from the document I sighed with the Date.....
"I don't want to kill you.......yet. I need to lure that Date lizard-brain to me to kill him. Therefore, I need you. You, also being smart and talented, can also help aid the Oda. You will comply. If you don't, you will be killed. If you do, you may just as well be rewarded."
