~Providence 49 Castle~

Kraken finishes his walk through the newly cleaned halls of his castle. As he enters his newly redecorated strategy room he is greeted by Koujiro and Crow standing to their feet. Hosokawa, Kraken and Hojo generals talk back and forth a few more second before they realize Krakens presence, they quickly go to salute as Kraken takes a seat at the head of the table.

Fuma General: My lord, let me be the first to thank you for the forgiveness your have given our people after past transgressions. May I ask thou…

Kraken leans forward in his chair looking down at the Denebs blade, a shade of crimson kisses its edges from uncleaned surface.

Kraken: Captain or Kraken. I do not wish to be called a lord, it makes me feel better than you. If I die, no one will call me a lord so I may as well have people call me what they will remember me as. Sorry to cut you off but I have an idea jumping around my mind that I need implement quickly before I lose the details.

Several generals pull paper and quill while others lean forward in anticipation. Crow waves and 3 of her Cuthroats move from the shadows standing in perfect attention. Koujiro raises an eyebrow in amusement while his student Sousuke leaned back in his seat.

Kraken: Currently the Hojo are looking towards us, they are probably worries since I have not sent any word or received any from them. They figure they have a few days while I finish the takeover of the Fuma. I wish to cut them short and end them before much bloodshed so their will be several steps that will need to happen exactly for this maneuver to be effective.

Kraken moves forward to address the Hosokawa side of the table.

Kraken: Koujiro and Sousuke, I need you two to finish fighting for my control in the Fuma territory. You both appeal to the strength I wish to show my new subordinate. I would love for friendship to triumph over slaughter. Yet no war is perfect, I know you Koujiro to be an honorable man. This trait will hopefully allow for you to raise my flag across the land. I also need you to seem very focused in those areas. Take large groups of men and be noticeable especially to the Hojo, I want them to think they have more time.

Kraken leans back and crosses a boot over the other.

Kraken: As for the Fuma, I want you to help rebuild your castle and any lands damaged, I want high defenses and names for men to leave this castle to. As I have said I do not wish to lord over you. But I need you to be on my side so I will need to appoint proper leadership to help continue our current agreement. I wish to pick someone that people know. I could easily leave one of my men but that would build contempt. I wish to have Fuma helping mend the fence of our precious transgressions.

Kraken stands and stretches turning his back to the table.

Kraken: Now this next part requires speed, as in as soon as our meeting all these plans will be implemented. I need Crow and her Cutthroats to move fast to Hojo home base. I have learned from our resources where their lords and ladies sit. So I need you to go and cause mass unrest.

Crow: You wish me to assassinate them?

Kraken: I would hate to use that word, but chances are this could go badly. If you are unable to find any other way of bringing them back to the Leviathan to hide them from the world, then do what needs to be done. Remember, you cannot be caught or seen. Their people cannot know it was us... do I make that clear.

Crow: Crystal. No formal identification and self suicide if caught. You heard the man lets move Cutthroats. We have some noble blood to catch.

Koujiro: I hate this plan… But please, do try to keep them alive. A dead lord makes no use in negotiations.

Kraken: Good, then let us move with haste, the night is coming.

~Masamune - Providence 4 - Near the town~

Masamune and Oichi quickly were able to reach the town. Masamune walked beside the horse while Oichi was on her. Someone ran up to Masamune, with a worried look on his face.

"I was told by Kojuro to ask you about the Ishida Ward. Since I just got news about the Ishida falling to the Oda, I was wondering if the Ishida can get any aid from the Date?" the messanger was sweating and fumbling with his hands.

Masamune gave the messenger a stern look, "No. The Date will not aid the Ishida. The Ishida were too weak to protect their home from an enemy. They need to learn from this experience and move forward. They are also residing in Uesugi, and Date isn't on the best terms with them. I advise you to leave this place and return to your Lady. She needs you more where she is than here." He ended by continuing to walk towards the castle. That reminds me. Once Kojuro returns, our next move will be to get Oshu back. The Tokugawa have been occupying my home for too long. This will be a message to the Oda and to everyone else that the Date are making a comeback.

~Kojuro - Providence 54 - Castle~

Kojuro watched the young boy squirm under his boot. I need to keep him alive, but how am I going to get him out of the castle unnoticed? Kojuro thought about it for a minute and then pulled out a skillfully crafted, black flute. He started to play a melody that sends whoever listens to a deep sleep. He remember how lazy Hanbei was on the way to the fight with the Fuma. The melancholy sound of the flute rang out around the room and Kojuro heard slight snoring. He looked down to see Hanbei asleep.

Kojuro immediatly stops playing and puts his flute away. He located an empty potato sack in the room, probably there for further use. Since Hanbei was so small, Kojuro picked him up with ease and placed him in the sack. He tied a tight knot at the top of the sack, to prevent Hanbei from escaping.

He took out a small folded up piece of paper and left it on the table. Kojuro scribbled on it, "Come get your tactician back." Kojuro was hoping that was enough for Sorin to panic and contact the Date. He folded it up and left it there to be found.

Before Kojuro opened the door to depart, something in the room caught his eye. It was shield, that looking like a compass on the surface. On closer examination, it seemed that it could have jutting blades come out of it. I'll take that too. Seems something that would interest me. Kojuro picked up the shield carefully and then picked up the sack. Hanbei was pretty light, so it wasn't a hard hull.

The people in the castle did not question Kojuro once. They just thought he got supplies to help the Date or something. Kojuro quickly made his way to the harbor with the sack. The men were waiting for him.

"So, Kojuro, where are we going? Are you going to pay a visit to the Oda, like you said?" The captain said.

"Yes. First we will head to the Oda, then I will head back to the Date just in time for Lord Sorin to plead for some help. Then, we will go from there. But first, we need to lighten the load." Kojuro points to the sack.

"You sacked him?"
the captain said, suprised.

"Yes, Hanbei isn't that big of a man. He's just a man in a mere boy's body." Kojuro fixed his glasses. He boarded the ship and they put the sack in the storage compartment. The ship set sail, heading towards Oda territory.

Takakage - Providence 62 - Castle~

Motonari was there and greeting his son's return. "How did it go? Did Nagamasa tell you what you wanted to hear?"

"Well, ummm, not exactly." Taka started. He sighed and said, "Well, we kinda need to get the army ready. The Azai are falsely accusing us of taking Oichi, the prize from the Oda."

"Oichi, the girl that was supposed to go to the Azai and marry Nagamasa? Well, this is all a misunderstanding. Once Nagamasa clears his head and realizes that there was just a delay, we will be in the clear." Motonari said.

"I don't that is going to happen. It's just that..nobody knows where Oichi is. She was due here a few days ago. In the Azai town, I caught a rumor that she got lost on the way and was killed by the Date returning from a battle. They seemed to be near the spot they found the dead escorts. The Oda have yet to find Oichi's body, as the rumors go.
" Taka said.

"I see. I don't think the Date are that cruel however. I think Oichi is just being held captive somewhere, but not here. We need to prepare the army, but I will try to go negotiate with that hothead myself."
Motonari said. He walked into his room, obviously getting a plan.

Is he mad at me? He didn't really yell at me. I must be in the clear..or at least I hope.

"Hey Dad! I'm going to try to get some aid from the Otomo! Hanbei might be able to help us come up with an unbeatable strategy."
Taka said. He didn't wait for an answer and located his friend Kyoya.

"So, you want me to be a message carrier? Sure, I'll get the message by noon tomorrow and return by evening." Kyoya said. He reassured his friend that he would indeed make it.

~Hanbei~ Sailing on the ocean
Hanbei suddenly blanked out, unknowing of what would happen next. Somehow, when a melancholy tune hit his ears, he fell asleep. His eyes drowsily opened, and everything was dark. He felt a strong cloth of a...potato sack surrounding him.
Hanbei's initial reaction was to start squirming around and break the cloth to be set free. However, that proved impossible, since the material was so rough and unbreakable. Hanbei squirmed around until he found a tiny crack of the opening. He removed his necklace, which had a series of pointed red teeth tied to it. He tried to use one of the teeth to potentially cut a hole. However, it was too dull.
Drat. It looks like I've been....kidnapped? It makes me think that this man is nutty! I have nothing to do with the Date or his scheme; he has the wrong man. He must have the wrong man! But what should I make of that birthmark? No. He's lying. My parents would never lie to me. They love me. I don't believe anything that's happened in the past hour.....or however long ago it was since I blanked out.
Hanbei heard faint voices outside the sack. He strained to listen.
"So what do you plan to do with him? He might escape, he's a sly little thing I hear. One of the most well-known strategists in the land," A man's voice said.
"I will give him the best guard I can possibly can. Someone he will be unable to comprehend, and someone who will keep him in his place. I am sure he will not be able to escape under those circumstances. And then, we will plan on murdering Date," Kojuro's deep voice echoed out.

~Sorin~ Province #55 Iyo
Sorin stared for a moment. It's not safe to go through? Well, I guess if the Ishida are targeted and will soon no longer exist, this alliance is silly. We'll have to turn back. I better tell Hanbei he got his wish.
"Alright men! Let's turn back to Bungo!" Sorin called, and his men began to turn the ship around. The Otomo's ship was sailing smoothly for a few hours when they passed a Date ship. That's funny. I thought the Date's land was on the other side of the continent.

~Nobunaga~ Province #38 Iga
The letter collapsed in Nobunaga's hands.
"Oichi....what is it you truly desire? I will have you killed if you do not obey my command." Nobunaga said, "Those provinces better be mine in a matter of time. Otherwise, I'm going to do things my own way. He's had plenty of time to undermine them." He needed a fast plan to conquer the land. Everyone would soon praise him as their leader.

~Gracia~ Province #31 Yamato
Gracia collapsed to the floor. A tear dropped down her cheek, followed by more. She found herself soon unable to control herself, wailing.
"Father, why?! Why did you send him off to the war?! I don't want anything to happen to anyone.....ever...again..." Gracia sniffed, and Mitsuhide put his hands on her shoulders.
"I know this is hard for you, honey. But you have to understand that this is war. Once Nobunaga unites the land, there will be eternal peace."
"But I want the peace to come now!" Gracia screamed, tearing up even more, "I want a land where we don't have to worry about our pals dying! I should've been there to protect him! Let me go to to war. I will avenge him!"
"That's silly, Gracia. Get some rest. I have my own duties to carry out to look over our newly won provinces," Mitsuhide said, giving her a hug, and left. Gracia sniffed.
"My father doesn't understand anything. Why should we kill one another? It only hurts us. If only there was some way I could help....."

~Magoichi~ Province 27, Ise

Kneeling upon the altar, the visitor looks across the polished glass. Within the carved frame, the panel of glass reflects young Magoichi's stern face turned softened. Magoichi claps twice and bows.

"Great Goddess Amaterasu Omikami, mother to us all, look down on us gracefully." Magoichi says in prayer. "Your sunlight guides our way on our journey. Daughter of Izanagi and Izanami, creators of Japan, your breath is sacred and touch immortal. May myself and my people gain support from your tender sun and be guided towards the Way."

After a moment, Magoichi stands up and exits the large shrine. The Shrine at Ise, destined from ancient times to be the household of Amaterasu. Magoichi starts walking to rejoin her traveling group containing a handful of shooters.

The air feels different. Leaves rustle.

A suspicious follower in the trees. Magoichi grabs her pistol from her leg holster and shoots a warning near the person. A figure jumps down into the clearing, panting heavily.

"Hmm? Ah Ryoga. A news update?" Magoichi asks with a raised eyebrow.

"Yes, Mi'lord. A report, and warning." Ryoga says. "It seems the Oda have taken over Yamato."

"What?!" she exclaims "When did this happen?"

"About three(+) weeks ago."

"That majorly disrupts our route. Why, you fool, did it take you this long to come find us?!"

"...I got lost...taking a short cut...through a cave," Ryoga said embarrassed.

"We didn't sail all the way to Ise just to halt our progress. You should have found me faster."

"My apologies, Mi'lord."

"You are slipping up alot recently. Perhaps I should denounce your position and promote Ciachan, she has been more useful in current situations. Either way we need to rethink our strategy."

"My lord," said a male voice.

Magoichi looks over her shoulder to see the Saika general walk over. The young man with dark hair wore his proud red armor with blue detailing.

"Ah yes, Kyoya, speak up. You may share your thoughts."

"It appears if we follow our original route through Yamato, we easily will have to deal with the Oda."

Stating the obvoius here. Magoichi raises her eyebrow in preparation for his thought.

"The Oda should not have had time to claim Yamashiro. We can redirect our route through there."

"It is out of our way..." Magoichi said in thought.

Still thinking, Magoichi heads back to her temporary camp with her saika crows behind her. Once there, she sees her other handful of clansmen encircling two people. The Saika spread to let their lord through. Upon closer notice, the two people were Rinku and indigo.

"Rinku, weren't you and Indigo supposed to have been negotiating with that pirate Kraken?" Magoichi asked.

Rinku remained silent so Indigo spoke up.

"We were, but it appears Captain Kraken requests the presence of the actual Saika Lord. Her second in command was not good enough."

"I see, " Magoichi responded. "Where is Kraken?"

"Fuma Territory." Rinku said, responding a simple question with a simpler answer.

"Really? He moved. Very well." Magoichi turned towards Kyoya. "Which province not claimed by Oda could we pass into beyong Yamashiro?"

Kyoya consults his map.

"Yamashiro into Settsu then."

"Good. We will head northwest then." Magoichi says. "We can be in Fuma territory by next post."

~Masamune - Providence 4 - Castle~

Masamune reached the castle in a few minutes. He eased Oichi off the horse with care and left the horse with the stable lady. The two of them walked into the castle, hand in hand. Masamune gave Oichi a quick, awkward goodbye and headed into the strategist's room. The map of Japan was left laided out on the table in there. Kojuro had seemed to be in the middle of placing small flags on it to symbolize each army. The Date, which are the blue flags, only had two providences. It would be hard to keep an eye on the one providence since it was so far away.

Masamune was more focused on a specific providence, Mutsu. Mutsu, also known as Oshu, was the one providence he was aiming to get. It bordered Ichigo so it wouldn't be hard to reach too. However, Oshu was huge. It would be a long and large campaign to take it over, or back in this case. Ieyasu was no slouch either. He would be expecting an attack from Oshu's former owners, the Date. Masamune needed his strategist back, so they could formulate a plan to get the Tokugawa providence. Why Kojuro left to go to the Otomo so sudden is still a mystery to Masamune. He pondered the thought. He is just probably going to get some supplies from the Otomo..

~Kojuro - Providence 30 - Harbor~

The fast, swift boat reached it's destination that night. Kojuro quickly requested for a horse large enough for him and his sack. The sack did show movement but people turned a blind eye. This was Oda territory, and most people didn't care. The retainer finally did come back with the horse and Kojuro carelessly tossed and tied the sack to the back of the horse.

He started to travel through the providence. His destination was province 31, Yamato. Nobunaga will be pleased to know that the Date line is going to be dead. I never liked the Date anyway. They challenged Oda authority with Terumune. When Nobunaga defeated Terumune, it turned them into shrimps. However, the line must die.

~Takakage - Providence 62 - Courtyard~

Taka was seeing his friend off. He handed Kyoya the letter and told him what he must do. "Go talk to Lord Sorin and see if we can get aid from the Otomo. We aided them with taking the Hojo providence, they should return the favor."

"I got it, buddy! No need to worry. We will defeat the Azai and show them the Mori can hold their ground. AND that we didn't steal their girl." Kyoya said, laughing. He left on his chestnut brown horse. Taka watched him until he was no longer visible in the distance.

The night approached fast and the next dawn peaked through the horizon. Taka yawned and looked out his window. He was looking out towards to sea. It's so calm in the morning. I wish everyday could be this calm.

~Hanbei and Gracia~ (Hanbei's perspective) Province #30 and 31
Hanbei was clunking in the sack against the side of the horse. "ow....ow.....ow! That one really hurt!" Hanbei shouted, "Let me outta here! Somebody! Help!"
No one seemed to hear him. Perhaps his voice was muffled by the fabric and muted out by the horse's fast footsteps. Great. Just great! I never expected to become a prisoner of war. And to think all I really wanted to do was nap.
The horse suddenly stopped moving, and Hanbei's tormented pain finally ended. Hanbei, feel slightly dizzy, felt the sack her picked up and then hauled over someone's shoulder. He heard the gates open.
"Welcome back, Kojuro. How was your trip?" A voice echoed.
"It was fine, but I did not have the opportunity to kill Date yet. Therefore, I brought this," Kojuro said.
"A sack of potatoes? Or something else, perhaps?" The voice asked.
"It's just a little strategist I picked up from the Otomo province. He bites, so I need to keep him tied up and guarded heavily. I need to keep him here to lure the Date and the Otomo leaders here. We will then destroy them promptly," Kojuro's voice said.
"Do you have someone in mind to keep an eye on him?"
"Of course. Your daughter, Gracia, would do nicely. She gets quite lonely here, don't you think? I'm sure she wouldn't let him escape," Koujuro said, and then Hanbei started to fidget to get out again.

"Let...me....out....c'mon.....I will knock them both out if you gimme the chance...." Hanbei muttered as he tried to break the sack with his weight. However, he soon came to the realization that he did not weigh much, and he couldn't manipulate the sack to break at his will.
Hanbei heard footsteps as he was hauled up the stairs. He then heard the sniffling sound of a girl.
"Gracia, I have brought you a new toy," Kojuro said.
"Mr. Kojuro! Whoa! What is it! What is it! A brand new doll?" A high-pitched girly voice said, choking a little on tears.
"Not exactly. But you can't let him escape. He'll be your friend and do whatever you wish, as long as he stays chained to this wall," Kojuro explained, "We will chain him here, and you can do whatever you want. If he tries to escape, Use some of your magic on him."
Kojuro untied the sack, and Hanbei fell out, gasping for air. His first initial reaction was to run, but he was grabbed by Kojuro underneath the arms, and pulled to the wall. Hanbei kicked, but Kojuro was too fast with slamming his body against the brick wall. Before Hanbei knew it, both of his arms and legs had chains attached to them that were connected to the wall.
"Wow! He's cute! You should've been nicer with him, Mr. Kojuro!" Gracia exclaimed with a worried voice.
"Don't worry. Your job is to keep him here, ALIVE. Now he hasn't eaten anything, so you can feed him. Just make sure he doesn't die. We need him here for now."
"Yes sir! So, what's his name?"
"Shigeharu. Now if you excuse me, I will be going back to the Date land," Kojuro said as he placed the key to the chains in his pocket, and Gracia waved goodbye.
"Wait.....wait a minute! Don't leave me.....I'd rather die!..... not....be...with.....her....with...." Hanbei screamed turning red as Kojuro left. Hanbei looked at Gracia, who seemed like she was a young girl in her twenties. She had pink hair, beautiful green eyes, and a huge smile.

~Sorin~ Province #56 Bungo
Sorin arrived back at Bungo. "Home sweet home! I can't wait to tell Hanbei he got his way and we aren't making an alliance with the Ishida. I wonder how he'll react, and I hope he isn't mad. I still need him to make the Otomo province grand," Sorin said as he entered the pearly white gates.
He walked into the strategist's room, and nobody was there.
"Hanbei? Has anyone seen Hanbei?" Sorin asked some nearby advisers, and they answered they had not seen him since yesterday.
Sorin's eyes were drawn to a note that was on the table. He picked it up.
"Come get your tactician back....." Sorin said, reading it, and then was horrified to see the Oda symbol on the letter.
"We need the Date's help! NOW! We can't let Hanbei be with those freaks! He's MY TACTICIAN, NOT THEIRS!!" Sorin screamed, "So the Oda think they can use Hanbei's strategies to get rich or something, eh? I will not let them figure out our trade secrets!!"

Kirito: Provence:

Kirito and his battalion of soldiers break the Imagawa Walls and Asuna started riots, having the civilians rise up and join the battle.

Kirito was already entering the castle as he cut down a small brigade of guards with Freiheit and Shi.

"This to easy..." Kirito said as he cut down soldier after soldier with Asuna.

"we must get cocky, Milord." Asuna stated to Kirito as she kicked her giant blade up and cut a guard in half.

Kirito rolled his eyes as he threw 3 needles at Archers taking aim at them.

Very Long post, I wanted to include much detail since this is important... kind of got carried away. Sorry. Also Crow is quite dark in this post. You haven been warned.

~Hojo Territory, Ujiyasu’s Castle - Crow - ~

The night air was damp, guard’s lanterns flickered across the walls, but just behind the light creeped Crow and her Cutthroats. Across the castle they spread like a cancer; climbing walls, running down halls and sitting atop roofs. With accuracy of legend, Crow’s best began taking out guards from the highest points. Large sized arrows fired from oversized bows had the force to make opponents stay down after just one impact. Lanterns would flicker quickly in the darkness then go extinct. Within moments the outer walls had gone black and the group move inwards. Crow ordered all but two to stay outside and prepare escape. Since even with their best, a castle full of guards would be too much.

Crow crept quietly through the halls, hiding in nooks and crannies looking for her target, the Lord of the castle himself. A quick dodge into the kitchen provided all the information she needed. Two young maidens conversed over a boiling pot of water. Ujiyasu was up and looking over important documents, he asked for fresh tea to be made and brought to him. One of the young girls walked out leaving the other alone, Crow made her move. Grabbing her quickly from behind, a hand over her mouth she spun the girl around.

Crow: “I would like to pay you a large amount of gold for your silence and your clothes… you will leave immediately out this window and be gone. Agreed?”

Crow slid her hand slightly away from the girls mouth. The girl begins to shout.

Girl: “Never yo…..”

Crow clenches her hand tightly around the girls mouth again as she struggles and continues to shout, releasing only a small muffle. Crow holds her mouth firmly, then with a quick twist towards the ground and away from the girl results in a loud *snap*. Crow quickly slides the girl’s lifeless body over to the pantry. Crow takes her kimono off and tosses the sad little body inside and turning back to the kitchen, she quickly wraps herself in the kimono and turns towards the stove as the door is pushed open quickly.

Guard: “Everything ok in here, I thought I heard a shout.”

Crow in a mimicked voice: “Sorry, master. I burned myself, I was out of line to stir the castle. My humblest apology.”

Guard: “Ah yes, be more careful and hurry with that tea, the Lord is restless tonight.”

Crow turns to check the room, with it being now empty she opens a small vial of sliver liquid and pours it into the teapot. Then she adds the hot water and a small metal holed ball full of power jasmine herbs into the teapot as well. While she waits for it to mix and soak she sits a pulls out makeup, painting her face white to match the girls. She then unties her hair and assembles it the same way as the poor girl. She looks towards the pantry and with a tilt of her head she whispers.

Crow: “Would I do the same if it was Lord Kraken at risk?”

Crow shakes her head and gets back to the situation at hand, she picks up the teapot and a cup and begins  to walk the hall, looking for the dining hall, quickly finding it not to far. She stumbles in as Ujiyasu looks up from the end of the table. She keeps her head down as she crosses the room, she places the cup and fills it, she kneels down to bow and then quickly exits the room as Ujiyasu puts the cup to his mouth.

Ujiyasu: “This is delicious, my compliments. I asked for Camomile though, not Jasmine.”

Crow in a mimicked voice: I apologize, I will get another pot going immediately.”

Ujiyasu: “It is quite alright my dear, I have not seen you around before, are you new?

Crow turned, then walked back slowly towards the Lord, she began to unwrap her kimono with strange excited looks from the Lord. As the Kimono dropped she activated the levers that forced the blades out of her outfit down the side of each of her forearms. Lord Ujiyasu quickly stumbled backwards out of his chair and looked as if to shout, but nothing came out. He tried to move but fell forward in a dizzy into the table doing his best to stand firm. Crow looked at the man momentarily then at the teapot. Ujiyasu looked down at the cup in disbelief as he tried once again to move attempting to charge Crow who quickly knocked the disabled Lord up against the wall.

Crow held a defenseless Lord Ujiyasu Hojo against the wall in his dining hall. In his normal attire he may have been more prepared, but in his night clothes he has no armor, no weapon, nothing. Both his arms are weak, the poison he ingested has numbed most his body making it difficult to even clench a fist. He feels Crow’s blade for sure against his neck, pressing ever so delicately like a razor against a sheet of paper. He can’t even manage to make a sound, his throat is so dry from the poison that nothing comes out but a shrill whisper. His eyes race about the room in confusion.

Crow: “Look at you, searching for escape. Even now you’re thinking. My arms, my weapons, my friends… there must be a way.”

Crow pushes the blade stretched across her right forearm firmly against Lord  Ujiyasu Hojo’s neck. She notices the fear in his eyes as they shoot across the room looking for his guards, for anyone.

Crow: “There is no way. This is the moment the living wake. When they realize there is no one to pull them from the burning home, or save them from the stranger with the sparkling blade.”

Crow creeks her neck in a distorted angle showing several scars from the hangman's noose hidden under the makeup. She then whispers as close to his face as she can.

Crow: “The moment I love. Squandered lives, always thinking theres a tomorrow… always a way.”

Crow begins to push a littler harder, blood begins to trickle from the small wound created from the pressure.

Crow:”Then the fear comes, as the blade sinks in, as the fire burns, the arrow hits home.”

Suddenly the door bursts open, as Lady Hayakawa entered with some of her fathers elite guard. She points viscously in Crows direction, her nightwear showing her fresh awakening from that nights slumber.

Lady Hayakawa: “Release my father you witch, and we will let you live.”

Crow looks devilishly over towards the young girl then back at the Lord Hojo.

Crow: “I’m already dead.”

Crow raises her left hand clenching it into a fist. Then turns darkly away from the Hojo daughter towards the Lord and with a quick slam she brings her left fist into the back of her right arm. Blood splatters the wall and all that can be heard are the distressed screams from Lady Hayakawa along with the grumbling hatreds of the 6 guards now charging Crow.

The Lords body falls first, then as Crow removes her right arm blade from the wall the head begins to drop, before it reaches the floor Crow kicks it sending it sailing into the chest of the first man rushing her. Crow speaks softly as she moves forward towards the first two men.

Crow:”I did not wish for this.”

Crow dances under the first guards blade, the other still tossing the head aside in disbelief. With a twist of her left hand the blade moves to the interior of her arm which she quickly wraps around the unstable guards neck. Using him as a ground she spins around his neck kicking the other guard into the wall, leaving two gaping holes from her bladed heels in his chest. The other guards are but feet away, as she releases the head of the man she grabbed and a quick elbow ends with another fountain of blood as yet another head falls from it’s shoulders.

Crow:”4 now, do you wish to continue?”

The men are stalwart and true, the two with spears strike at two different spots making it hard for Crow to dodge both, she feels a spear slide slightly across her skin slicing her right side just underneath her breast. The other spear missing slightly due to Crow’s contortions. With a quick jump back she releases two gas caplets in her wake. As the gas goes off she quickly throws a series of small needles, only one guard is struck true, as he pulls the needle from his neck he sees the violet liquid drop from it, moments later he falls forwards, unconscious from the venom. The other 3 guards regain their composition crossing their fallen friend moaning their way towards the assassin.

Lady Hayakawa: “Die you monster!”

Lady Hayakawa slams a strange weapon into the wall just inches from Crow’s head. Crow blinks in disbelief, she lost track of the girl in the commotion and thought her not a threat. Her glance upwards costs her dearly as a guard lands a well placed blow with his sword against her right shoulder, blood streams down her arm quickly.

Crow:”True pain, it hurts, it burns... how amusing.”

Crows words ring empty on the rage induced Hojo. They move in to finish the dead eyed woman. Crow flings her right arm towards the guards quickly, blood splattering two of them in their eyes, while they stumbled backwards she slides her left hand up Lady Hayakawa’s right sleeve resting it just under  her shoulder, a small blade tip pushing against her armpit.

Crow: “Stop now or the girl dies.”

Lady Hayakawa blinks astonished that the tables had been turned so quickly. The guards quickly step back but raise their weapons still.

Guard: “Release her demon, she is still young.”

Crow: “She is old enough to be a bargaining chip, now back away and no one else dies.”

Crow moves slowly towards the door, the guards following each step. She hears a commotions beginning to erupt from the rest of the castle.

Guard: “See, you are caught, no where to run.”

Crow: “Almost, for you, the night is over.”

Crow spins out the door quickly as one of her Cutthroats who had been hiding outside the hall tosses in a violet colored smoke bomb causing the guards to cough.

Crow: “Taking your time, progress?”

Cutthroat: “3 of our number dead, immediate withdrawal. 4 hostages taken, 16 killed. Over 100 guards moving below us. Whats the decision?"

Crow: Mask up, drop concussion smoke everywhere we go out the windows and jump, the others should be ready for us.

Crow moves quickly with a now passed out Lady Hayakawa, the smoke working it’s wonders causing coughing throughout the level. They come to a large balcony. Crow finds a good point to jump into one the ponds around the castle, while her companion continues to unload gas and fire throughout the castle. Crows impact into the water is perfect, the only sound coming from a small splash from her guest not having a perfect form. Crow swims slowly trying to go unnoticed from the guards rushing by on land towards the now burning castle. She watches as her Cutthroat still on the balcony is laid low by arrow and spear. Near the end of the pond she climbs out dragging her guest to the nearest stable and mounting a horse. With a quick whistle the horse makes haste and Crow escapes out the nearest entrance. Down the road she finds the signs of her team and meets up with them. A small group of stolen horses and a wagon hides in the woods, 4 unconscious people lay in the back of a wagon with hoods over their heads, Crow heaves her victim to add her to the pile of their spoils. With haste they begin the run through the woods hoping to evade the now very alert Hojo.

I'm pulling a Seek tonight (Or morning when I actually get this up)
I promise to read your post tomorrow, Dusk Smile I just wanted to get this up and you happened to post before me.

NOTE: Kojuro is traveling back to Providence 4 by horse. Will take him a while.

~Masamune - Providence 4 - Castle~
Masamune couldn't get Oichi out of his head. He was trying to formulate a plan to attack the Tokugawa, but his thoughts were clotted out with images of love and Oichi. He got up from the desk he was working the plan on, sighed, and left the room. Surprisingly, Oichi was looking out the nearby window, with a worried expression on her face. Masamune walked up to her and asked, "What's wrong? Your not thinking about the Oda again, are you?" Masamune said.

"Well...I'm more thinking about Kojuro to be honest. How strangely he left without notice. I'm worried that he might have something up his sleeve an-"
Oichi was cut off.

"Kojuro always has something up his sleeve. That's just him. I wouldn't give him more than two thoughts. I trust Kojuro." Masamune said. He gave Oichi a reassuring smile.

She gave a faint smile back and walked out of the castle. Masamune had conflicting thoughts. You blew it. She doesn't believe you... A retainer walked up to Masamune and bowed "Milord, a merchant is here to see you. She says she knows you from before."

That must be Kimiko! Maybe I could talk to her about my feelings for Oichi. That faster I can clear this up, the faster I can re-conquer Oshu. Masamune nodded to the retainer and headed to the courtyard to greet Kimiko and her brothers. As expected, they were there with their mechandise. When Kimiko saw Masamune, she waved to him.

"Long time no see! How is that knife working out for you since you save us from the bandits?" She asked curiously. "And how are things in general?"

"Well, war is brewing even worse a little ways from here. The Oda are really making an impact on the land." Masamune said as he walked up to her.

"Oh, so that's what we ran into! We were on our way towards the Azai, Mori, Otomo, and Hojo when we were stopped by a nearby town warning us of a fight going on. She we headed towards the Chosekabe and then up to the Tokugawa to trade. We are going attempt to go back down to that region through Shima and Fuma territory. Congrats on taking that Fuma providence by the way."
Kimiko said. She seemd to blab on for a long while.

"Wow, sounds like even the merchants are having trouble. Seems like you just stopped by to say 'hi'."

"Kimiko, don't talk his ear off!" Aki, her older brother with glossy brown hair and light blue eyes said. "He still has to be able to listen to his retainers and call out orders."

"Don't be such a party pooper! I'm just saying 'hi' again to the boy who saved us back with those bandits!" Kimiko said. She put her hand on her hips and made a face at Aki.

"Thanks for that, by the way. We would of been finished there if you didn't come around."
Takao said. Takao was Kimiko's other older brother with lighter blond hair and brown eyes, like Kimiko.

"Oh it was not a problem! I..I need to ask Kimiko something." Masamune said. Kimiko perked up with interest. "I..I like this girl and...I can't seem to get her out of my head.."

Kimiko, slightly stunned, said, "Well, the first thing about love is acknowledge it's there. Don't try to run from it. And then, you should give the pretty girl a gift. They will like that. I wish some boy would do that to me someday...." Kimiko rambled off. Masamune thought, Acknowledge it is there? How? A gift?

"Well, if you want yourself a pretty girl, why not check out what we sell. Besides warrior equipment, we sell some fine nicknacks." Aki winked. He took off a sack off of one of their horses and opened it up. Inside were gemstones as pretty as the ones in the Otomo Castle.

"Wow." Masamune picked one up. It was a pink pearl attached to a small golden ring.

"Well if your going to buy it, please do so."
Takao said. He yawned and looked at Masamune. Masamune could tell they must of been traveling all night with the dark rings under their eyes.

"I think so. My head is clouded with her..."
Masamune said softly. He paid for the ring and stashed it away in his coat.

"Well boys, we better get a move on. See you later, Masamuuuuune!"
Kimiko said. She jumped on her horse and galloped out of the courtyard. Her brothers sighed and followed more slowly.

~Takakage - Providence 62 - Army Barracks~
Taka was addressing strategies to the army one day before the fight. In the middle of a detachment plan, a messenger ran in. "Milord! Where is Motonari?" He said urgently.

"My Dad is finishing up the main force plan in the castle. What's wrong?" Taka asked. What more can go wrong, honestly.

"Well, the Azai seemed to have broken their three day gap. They are creeping up on our borders, with a HUGE army!" the messenger said. He looked very panicked.

Taka looked at his detachment plan he spent yesterday perfecting it and ripped it in half. "New plan, we will be on the defense. Our strategy is to make a impenetrable brick wall. Move all the peasants and residents in the town to the center. I will lead the vanguard myself. My father is too old now to keep leading that." Taka said in a serious tone. All these plans were made up on the spot. I just hope I'm not acting too hasty in this. We can't lose our providence. The Mori need to be able to hold their own!

The men cheered a pre-battle cry and got ready to go to war. Motonari rushed down to the barracks once he heard the news. "Son, we must not act rash in this situation. Nagamasa's head is clotted with rage and thus he will act rash. We will use this to our advantage."

"...I never thought of that." Taka replied back. "That must mean he really thinks we have Oichi."

Motonari slowly nods. "So, your leading the vanguard right? Good luck. I will stay back here and defend the city and the people." Motonari attached his claw-like weapon and headed for the main floor of the castle. Taka grabbed his sword and magic book and prepared to take the lead.

Just a side note:

Province: 48, 49, 50 - Shared corner of the Iwami, Aki, Suo provinces

After traveling for some time, the group of Saika have made their way into the borders of the Fuma territory. They followed along the territorial edges to minimize disturbances, though it did take them on a trek though the main mountains of Japan. Now the group is a bit irritable and worn.

"Let's see... We should almost be to the point of seeing the castle in the Fuma territory," Magoichi says. "It is high enough one could see from the raised altitude here. If only the Saika were able to fly along the clouds and rip our opponents apart with our talons, depositing the bodies in Great Japan's many valleys. Much more practical."

The group were breathing more heavily. They were no able to take their steeds. Horses do not rock jump very well.

"How many weeks of hiking has this been?" Magoichi says below her breath.

"Too many milord." responds Kyoya.

Rinku grunts in agreement.

"Great Kami of sake and onigiri!" Ryoga exclaims. "Kyoto is my greatest enemy" ['after orienteering' says Ammy].

"Kyoto was most difficult of a mountain to pass, but it is one of Japan's largest so this should have been expected." Kyoya states.

"Sigh, this is why I don't march, but sail my ships up to stupid people and shoot them," Magoichi exclaims. "Kraken better serve some divine Chinese sake, or he will discover a new type of crow."

Province...49? they moved a bit more east, so they could go more south easier

The Saika followed to their destination. Over the hills, in the distance a grand ship could be seen at harbor, or farther out to see taking the form of another mountain over the horizon.

"Okay. From our spot, we are near to just about everything we need to be. Any idea on where that pirate might be?" Magoichi asks.

"Well, Kraken never leaves himself in a vulnerable position except when traveling." Indigo began. "So he must either be in the Fuma Castle or on his ship."

"I see. Those are in opposite directions. Ideas of which to go too?" Lady Saika raises an eyebrow.

"Hang on," Indigo says pointing behind them. "There is Mistress Crow and the Cutthroats with a wagon."

Indeed. There was the cutthroat returning from her earlier mission, wagon in tow. They moved quickly between the rocky trees toward her and her party.

"Lady Crow, I am the one called Magoichi Saika," Magoichi said with a slight stiffness. "May you please inform us on Kraken's specific location?"

The emotionless woman looked her up and down.

"A nice set but could use a bit more feminine meat under your skin. Perhaps a different kind of protein." Crow stated. "Lord Kraken is awaiting my return on the Liviathan. You may join me in travels to get there if you wish."

"I thank you." Magoichi said with a bow. She then turned to her clansmen. [color:4e58=ff3333]"We will follow them to Kraken. Everyone start moving, before I use my pistol on you."

Kraken, next post, Mistress Saika demands sake

~Hanbei and Gracia (Hanbei's perspective) Province #31 Yamato
When Kojuro left, Hanbei instantly pulled with his arms to try to break free. It was no use, and struggling only hurt his limbs. He kept pulling for about a minute until giving up. Gracia blinked, watching.
"Why are you trying to escape? Mr. Kojuro says you need to stay here."
"Don't you get it, little girl?! He's keeping me hostage here! Why don't ya help me escape instead of just standing there?!" Hanbei replied irritated, pulling once again. It was no use.
"But Mr. Kojuro is a nice man! He's never lied to me before. And if he says you need to stay here, well it must be important! Maybe he doesn't want to lose you," Gracia said.
"Yea, that's exactly why he chained me up. I'm a prisoner of war, and he needs me for some kind of bait. I need to get out though! I'm a strategist, NOT a fighter - He has the wrong man. Somebody tell him he has the wrong man!"
"Man? You looks more like a boy," Gracia said, poking his cheek.
"Don't touch me! You're either going to help me, or you're not!"
"But I AM helping. I'm helping Mr. Kojuro by watching you!" Gracia clapped, "Maybe we should play a game! What do you want to play?"
"A game where we try to get these chains off of me," Hanbei muttered and some guards came in.
"Lady Gracia, we found this on Kojuro's ship. Do you know where he may be?" a guard asked.
"Oh, he just left! But I'll take it!" Gracia said, and the guard handed her Hanbei's bladed sundial, "Whoa! That's heavy!"
"That's MINE! Maybe we can use the weight of it to break the chains! C'mon, you HAVE to release me before that guy starts a new war!"
"A......war...?" Gracia blinked with a horrified look in her eyes. Looks like I have her attention now.

~Sorin~ Province #56 Bungo
Sorin's men were loading onto a ship that will soon depart to Date territory. A man from the Mori came running, huffing and puffing.
"Lord Sorin, the Mori are in need of your help. The Azai have made threats to attack in just a few days, and we need reinforcements,"
"The Azai?! Phah! I'm sure we can take em' out easy! But I'm kind of busy at the moment - my tactician has seem to gone missing, and we can't let the Oda win!"
"But Sir, we are asking-"
"Alright, alright! I will graciously allow some of my men to come assist you. Mikasa!" Sorin yelled for, and she came.
"Mikasa, I would like you to lead an army to help the Mori out. Do not fail them, they are valuable allies! I will be departing to see the Date now," Sorin said.

~Nobunaga~ Province #38 Iga
Nobunaga started rallying troops at the castle. He knew that because Oichi was on Date territory, they were most likely going to become the next target. But if all went as planned and his underlings are able to undermine the arrogant, hard-headed leader, they could take that land with minimal bloodshed. This usually isn't Nobunaga's strategy, but it was plausible enough to make the Oda seem as if they were in less provinces than they are.
A messenger came in with news from Mitsuhide - it told of how the Otomo's strategist was now held hoatage on their territory. Nobunaga, seeing no value in the Otomo, decided that he will just wipe them out once the biggest threats are eliminated.
"So, which army shall we attack next?" Tsuruhime asked.
"I am thinking of advancing towards Saika and Date territory. The Saika are potential threats - Magoichi isn't a quiet lady, and she might start rallying troops."
"Should we start marching soon?" Tsuruhime asked.
"Yes. And I have a favor to ask of you," Nobunaga said, "I want you to make sure you get the answer from that Ishida girl. We will not let her escape."

Kirito: Province 7

Kirito was honestly bored from how easy it was to cut down the Imagawa soldiers, as they were easier to strike then a Makiwara (Yay OR taught me what those are ^^). Kirito knew he was close to Yoshimoto, as the halls of the castle looked more regal.

Kirito then was attacked by more professional looking soldiers, as they where more armored then the others. The first one charged at Kirito, with his glaive. Kirito sidestepped then cut then Glaive about 8 inches from the point, defeating the weapon, as Kirito drove Shi across his foes chest. The second one charged at Kirito but Asuna cut him down with her giant Sword.

The third one then surrendered, saying, "I yield! I yield! Please do not kill me, great Swordsman."

Kirito replied, "Peace, tell us where Yoshimoto is and we will let you go back to your family and loved ones."

The Gaurd replied, "Down the hall, take a left then the second left, you can't miss the main room easily from there."

Kirito nodded, saying, "Thank you. Asuna, make sure this man gets out alright."

Asuna nodded and went with the Gaurd out as Kirito went to Yoshimoto's room.

Lucia Province 16

Lucia stood on a hill near the border of Province of 15 and 16, feeling mixed emotional, anger from Nobunaga, sadness from her failure, and shame for her leaving the people looking up to her. She looked at the land ahead, the ground of Yukimura, Lord of the Sanada.

It was only a few days previous that Nobunaga took the Ishida land, Lucia was given time to recover and get better by Lord Kenshin, head of the Uesugi. As Lucia gave word that she'd ask to join the Sanada, Kenshin requested to deliver a message to Yukimura.

Mitsunari joined Lucia saying, "Milady, are you sure that joining the Sanada is just?"

Lucia looked at her cousin replying, "Yes, Mitsunari-San, if it wasn't for the Sanada Ninja, I wouldn't be here today."

Mitsunari replied, "As I promised Lord Krom, your father, I shall be by your side, Lady Lucia."

I see what you did there, Swampz. Just next time, could you please control Mikasa? I don't want to let the Mori get held up. If Mikasa doesn't do anything, I will probably have to control her slightly to keep the Mori moving.

Kojuro is still traveling back ^^;

More filler, yay!  Razz
~Masamune - Providence 4 - Castle~

Masamune headed to find the lovely lady Oichi. It has been a while since they've met, and they've been in love ever since. A retainer approached Masamune and blocked his way. "Milord, our spies in our other land have spotted the Saika moving nearby. They don't appear to be hostile, however."

Masamune, irritated that he couldn't get to his destination faster, replied, "Magoichi isn't ruthless and she must be seeking someone else's support. We should worry about her unless she points her pistols at us. I'll let her go." The retainer dipped his head at this reply and left.

Whisper approached Masamune once the retainer left from behind. "Lord Masamune, there is something you really need to know. It's about Kojuro." Her gaze was dark and determined.

Am I never going to be able to me my lady? Kojuro should of been fine on his own. I trust him. "What is it? Did he get caught in a lobster trap or something?" Masamune said, obviously irritated.

"This is no laughing matter. Kojuro isn't the man you think he is. You can't trust him. He has already betrayed you." Whisper gave very scant details on exactly what she saw.

"Kojuro is my right-hand man. I think you must of mistaken it for someone else, Whisper. Now, I have somewhere to be and something to do." Masamune replied with confidence. He walked down the wooden hall, not waiting for a reply from his mysterious spy.

Masamune found Oichi looking outside her window, at the beautiful view of the forest. The trees swayed slightly in the breeze and the sun shined down on their emerald colored leaves. She turned around as Masamune opened to door.

"Oh hello Masamune," She said with a smile, "is something wrong?"

"Well, ummmm.." Masamune was at a lost for words. How should I tell her? She's perfect? What if she says no? Masamune gazed right into her soft eyes. He pulled out the tiny box. "Oichi, We've known each other for a few weeks now, and I love you. I never felt this way before, with any girl. Well, maybe I did feel it slightly with one, but not as strong as I do with you. The feeling is love. Will you be mine, forever?" He opens the box to reveal the ring and holds it out to her.

Oichi gasped and put both her hands to her mouth. "Yes! Of course!" she said happily. Instead of taking the ring she hugged Masamune tightly. "You'll always be my dragon. I love you as well. I'm glad that I came here."

Masamune, overjoyed, hugged her back and closed his eye. I've come so far, and now I finally met the girl of my dreams. Together, we will take back our rightful home and raise a family (A REALLY big family :p)

~Takakage - Providence 62 - Plains~

Takakage nervously took the lead. His friend Kyoya, still was at the Otomo asking for support. I hope he succeeded in getting support. I hate to hurt an old friend. Taka looked out on the hill he stationed the army. The Azai army, twice the size of the Mori, loomed ahead over the hills. Nagamasa was in the lead, with his lance in hand. At the sight of Nagamasa, Takakage raised his sword, getting ready to initiate the charge.

Nagamasa, seemed to read his mind, and send his charge out first. Nagamasa stayed on his hill parelle to Taka's as he watched his army charge forward, first on horses, then the foot soldiers. Taka, intimidated by the army size, went ahead with his plan.

I can't believe he feel for it. Alright let's back up and let the rifle men take out those horses! Taka lowered his sword and started to back up. His army followed him in sync. The rifle men took their placed and fired at the Azai. The first line of the Azai horses feel to the ground, blood oozing from their wounds. The rifles were able to take out a good chunk of the horses.

Taka, then, initiated the main charge. "Charge! Show the mean strategies that the Mori have to offer. We might be outnumbered, but we haven't lost our smarts!" Taka said, shakily. He wasn't ready to take control, like his father thought. The men cheered and charged straight at the Azai men. Taka joined them, and used massive wind spells to repel enemies back. He glanced up at Nagamasa, who seemed not to move an inch from where he was sitting on his horse. What is he up too? He can't just demand a battle and stand there!

~Kraken - aboard the Leviathan~

Kraken paces back and forth across the upper deck, constantly looking out to the territory, looking for Crow and her crew. the moon bounces brilliant colors off the water onto the Leviathan and not a sound could be heard other than Kraken’s footsteps. Koujiro makes his way to the upper deck, once exiting the stairs his sight catches Kraken, still walking the same path he had been 8 hours ago.

Koujiro: If your goal is to carve a path into your deck, there are better ways to go about it.

Kraken glances up in shock, the bags under his eyes express his sleeplessness. A few moments of staring awkwardly follow, as if his sight cannot make out who he is seeing, and his ears betray his common sense. After a few moments, that usual sly look a Kraken begins to return.

Kraken: Ah, Koujiro. It is good to see you again. I am quite pleased with your progress in the Fuma territories, they seem to have come around to my command quite easily.

Koujiro: Men follow those they feel are strong enough to lead them. Sadly they only have met me so I’m sure that opinion will sour once they have the time to get to know you.

A grin spreads across his face, awaiting Krakens response.

Kraken: It probably will, I fear I am playing the game wrong. Maybe I am not meant to lead.

Koujiro: I was jesting my friend. While I hate the way you approach things, these decisions are never easy, someone has to make them. Many a Lord becomes hated because his people do not know the weight on his shoulders. I must admit, your decision on how to handle the Hojo left a bad taste in my mouth. But if you are able to overthrow an entire territory by just a few deaths, the numbers cannot be argued with.

Kraken:…and what if those deaths results in total war and the slaughter of unorganized men, what then.

Koujiro: Then we approach that matter when it rears its head. You must stop thinking of all the outcomes and work on the ones that are currently at hand.

Kraken: It’s hard to focus, my mind is racing about everything yet something inside keeps me worried, I feel like a weight is upon me I cannot shake.

Koujiro leans over the banister slightly looking out toward the territory glancing over at Krakens exhausted face.

Koujiro: Your worried about her aren’t you…

Suddenly dull red lights appear on the shoreline. Kraken seems to perk up immediately moving to his sleeping deckhands he shakes one and whispers in his ear. The man jumps up suddenly and begins belching orders for men to report to their stations and prepare for guests.

Koujiro: I don’t recall how many Cutthroats you sent, but it seems other than some prisoners they picked up an escort.

Kraken raises and eyebrow in interest, he turns to the shoreline and squints his eyes to focus.

Kraken: Ah, so Magoichi Saika makes her appearance at last. Crow seems to be injured but nothing fatal. Prep the medics for a patient, tell them if she refuses care that it is a direct order from me for her to be treated. Also prep a few rooms for the Saika clan, wake the chef and prepare a meal as well.

A few crewmates run off to regale the orders. Koujiro wanders off down the deck towards the bow of the ship.

Koujiro: Another pirate how delightful, maybe you could also get some convicted felons and murderers on this ship as well. If you need me I may be vomiting over the rails as my honor dies a little more.

The boarding ship knocks against the leviathan, a rope canopy is lowered for the prisoners. Cutthroats climb aboard first as Kraken counts with his fingers. Crow finally emerges as Magoichi and her entourage climb aboard. Kraken moves to Crow placing his arms on her shoulders looking at her shoulder puncture and then her chest injury.

Kraken: 4 are missing, and you’re injured… I am sorry, I did not think far enough ahead, I should of planned better.

Crow: Things did not go as expected, more loyalty than I would have thought. Ujiyasu Hojo is dead, we got several ranking officials and his daughter. On the better note, we found the Saika along the way, apparently she was looking for you.

Kraken: The head of Hojo is dead… how did it happen. Wait, you can tell me more in the morning, please let the medics patch you up and get some rest.

Kraken pulls Crow in tight and holds her firm, Crow instinctively jerks back but Kraken refuses to let her break away, her hands stick straight out with no idea what to do about any of this, her mind races in confusion. After few moments he releases her into the care of the medics. He then looks down at his outfit, brushes off some dirt and turns with his tell tale grin toward the Saika.

Kraken: Ah, my fine Magoichi Saika, how grand it is you found your way to my presence, I’ve been meaning to talk to you about our future. Please make your way to my meeting chambers below deck. I believe my cooks have placed out some food for your men in the chow hall to enjoy while we talk. So please relax and enjoy the Leviathans hospitality.

Kraken turns to head to his chamber, as several well dressed maids lead Magoichi and others to their respective destinations. Indigo skips quickly next to Kraken as he walks away, whispers in his ear then turns back to return with the Saika.

Magoichi sits alone in the large mahogany chambered room, the large ornate table and foreign statues intrigue her. The door finally opens as Indigo appears, followed by several maids bearing food and 3 holding several bottles of liqueur. Kraken then enters patting Indigo on the shoulder and moving aside in a polite gesture to let his maids exit.

Kraken: Please enjoy, I do not find it disrespectful to eat while I talk, and a little birdie told me (nodding towards Indigo) you enjoy and look forward to your sake so I had the ladies gather my finest and make them available to you. Please do not drink too much just yet as I would hate to have it said I took advantage of you at your weakest moment during these negotiations. Unless that is, you enjoy being taken advantage of.

Kraken sits crossing his arms upon the table with an all to obnoxious smirk upon his face intending humor.

Kraken: Let me put it simple. I want you to work for me, and I will reward you properly for doing so.

~Hanbei and Gracia~ (Gracia's perspective) Province #31 Yamato
Gracia's eyes widened. War....I don't want another war......Ran-chan is dead because.....because.......
Gracia started tearing up, sniffling.
"I don't want another war to start! Too many innocent people are dying, and people are suffering! I want the war to end!"
"Good! Let you tell what your Kojuro "friend" plans to do. He wants to lure the Otomo and the Date armies here. Since I work for the Otomo, he wants take advantage of Sorin's insecurity and rashness to kill him here. He's also a two-face, having eyes on taking out Masamune Date. He knows Sorin will ask Masamune for help, and that Masamune won't refuse if he advises him to help Sorin......" Hanbei said, "Now will you help me?!"
"Mr. Kojuro doesn't want to start a war! He wants to end the war, he told me!" Gracia argued, "Mr. Kojuro doesn't like fighting, he's a strategist!"
"And so am I, and part of being a strategist is seeing what other people's motives are. Heck, he TOLD me!"
"Whoa! You're a strategist? That means you're smart!" Gracia said, instantly becoming excited. He's smart, he's cute.......wow, I think I have a crush!
"I have to thank Kojuro the next time I see him! I'm so happy he introduced me to you!"
"You're completely missing my point...." Hanbei said as he struggled again, "Great, just great! I'm stuck with an annoying idiot. She praises a man that wants me and a thousand other dead."

Sorin's Travelling to the Date.

~Kojuro - Providence 4 - Border~

Kojuro could see the border to Date land moving ahead. It's almost time for phase two. He noticed that his horse was almost out of breath. It's only a little farther. This is my chance. This is the moment the Date will gone...forever. As Kojuro is nearing the border, there is a field full of lilies. Kojuro stopped for a moment, to give his horse a break. Mother.....she always loved those flowers.

I remember how that guard stabbed my mother just because we barely making it by. I was only 13 when she cruelly murdered. She was ill at the time and I work to pay the debt. I did any work I could find, but it wasn't enough. They still killed her. Terumune, that savage, couldn't care any less about his people. His son, Masmaune, is just the same. Hanbei also shares the same qualities as his father, even more than Masamune does.

Masamune thinks he is helping the people, but he is only making their lives worse. He's putting them into unnecessary battles, just for a piece of land. He thinks that will lead to prosperity, but it only leaves to bloodshed and heartache. He tears apart families carelessly. Hanbei, on the other hand, is no better. He is so self loathing. All he strives for is sleeping. That a very selfish reason to even try to end the war. His ambitions could be considered worse than his father. He is a master tactician and put he puts his skills to waste.

Masamune might consider me as his friend. We were always close when we were younger. But now I realize how different we really are. As I worked hard, he played hero. He was always a rash child, getting into trouble and no consideration about others or anything. I can't let Masamune regain his turf as well. If I never leaked out Terumune's battle plans to the Tokugawa, we would still be living there now. Losing his land weakened Masamune. And I must keep it that way. Finding out about Shigeharu being Hanbei helped my and my plans move on. Now, if I can destroy them, the fears of another threat will be gone.

I'm worried that both sons of the Date will become like Terumune...or worse. If they become like him, they will pose a threat to the Oda. I see that both of them make up for each others faults, but together they would be come two monsters destroying this land. Masamune has the Calvary, army, and fighting skills to carry out the battle. Shigeharu has the intelligence to create brilliant strategies to use that army to it's greatest potential. It would be like the brains and the brawn, working together. They could possibly end this war under the Date rule.

Kojuro wiped away a tear thinking about his mother and continued on his path. The backside of the castle appeared as he trudged at the border of the forest. It wouldn't be long until he would reach the courtyard and the same stable lady would be taking care of his horse. Upon reaching the courtyard, the stable lady greeted Kojuro.

"Welcome home, Lord Kojuro! I'm sure Lord Masamune will be happy to see you have returned."
she said with a smile. He dismounted his borrowed horse and lead it to her. She took the reins and headed to the stables. Kojuro approached the steps. Before he walked up them, he turned around to stare out to the harbor. Lord Sorin will act rash enough to head straight here. Now, all I need to is hold my tongue and convince Masamune to help, with little to no weapons. Kojuro walked up the stony steps and entered the castle.

As he entered he heard two voices coming from one of the rooms. He recognizes the gentle lightness of Oichi's and the determined rich voice of Masamune. Kojuro stopped and folded his arms across his chest. He'll come out eventually.

As predicted, Masamune opened the door and walked out, with a huge smile on his face. It took him a moment to realize Kojuro was there. "Oh, Kojuro your back! Did you get the plans from Hanbei as you were going to?" Masamune asked. Oichi followed him out and grabbed his arm. She leaned on Masamune's side.

What's this about? When did those two ever get that close? "Actually, no I didn't. Something is terribly wrong. Hanbei was missing! I only was able to see in the harbor the Clan symbol of the Oda on one of the ships. I wonder what the Otomo will do?" Kojuro said, trying to act shocked.

"Well, I'm glad you got out of there before the Oda captured you." Masamune said. "And the Otomo can solve this problem by themselves, unless that brat Sorin comes around and asks us for help. Then we might have to help him. Anyways, I got bigger news. I'm getting married to Oichi!"

"What? Now that is a shocker. I did see you two hanging out a lot in the past few weeks." Kojuro said, trying to hid his shock. He's getting MARRIED?! I will make sure that this marrige won't last long. Oichi belongs to the Oda, and I will return her there. Plus, I liked her first, you One-Eyed Idiot.

~Masamune - Providence 4 - Castle~

"Yea, isn't it great?" Masamune said happily.

"Indeed," Kojuro regain his posture and adjusted his glasses. He looked at Oichi and said, "A lord as strong as you deserves a beautiful woman. I'm happy for you." Kojuro said quietly.

"The wedding is tomorrow."
Oichi said with a small smile. She pulled Masamune closer to her.

"Tomorrow? Why so soon?" Kojuro said, obviously shocked.

"Times of war are rough. One day, I might not return from a battle. But, let's think more of the happy times."
Masamune said. He pushed away any bad thoughts.

Before Kojuro reply, a sailor from the harbor ran in. "Lord!!! I have some news! Lord Sorin from the Otomo has arrived. He demands to see you immediately."

"Oh, well he really did show up. Let 'em in to the party. He can enjoy the wedding, too!" Masamune said. Maybe I should be thinking about more important matters, but I'm just so happy.

"He is here for a reason, and the reason is not your wedding. He is probably here about Hanbei going missing." Kojuro said, eyes narrowing.

"Well, he still can enjoy our wedding." Masamune retorted back.

While awaiting Raven’s response I will cover what others in the party have done before the meeting.

~A few nights before Crows return to the Leviathan… Hojo territories~

Koujiro walks across the border bearing the symbol of both Fuma and Hosokawa flags with their lower left corners dipped in blood red paint. The symbol Kraken has adopted of his rule, the way he shows he does not wish to replace their current loyalties… but to tie them together, by letting people keep their idols they feel more inclined that a uniter has come about other than a ruler.

Koujiro (addressing his captains): “Ok, we are no longer making our presence known like before, we are here to claim regions, we will target key locations; barracks, fortresses, lineage homes. We will take those places while the commotion is at its best. If they fight we fight fair and give them the chance to surrender. If they wish to join us we will welcome them gladly and allow them to sign and vow their services for us. If we can get any samurai to pledge their honor to us we will be one step closer to taking this place without death. Let us move quick while the area is in turmoil, maybe will be lucky enough that the people will become disgusted at the current vying of power.”

Fuma General: “How did this happen, I mean, all their land has just gone into blackout and in-fighting is rampant. I heard rumor the whole Hojo family line was murdered.”

Hosokawa Captain: “I heard a maid lost it and torched the whole castle killing everyone important. Seems like a lot of damage caused by a maid, must be something else going on, maybe a coup?”

Koujiro stomachs his reactions, a slight hiccup of morality leaves his throat. He knows what Kraken commanded in that room, and only a select few new exactly the details. How was he going to lie to these men so they don’t realize the demon their new leader becomes when in the war room. He wants to tell them of the horrible deed, but he knows that even though it was a cowardly thing to do, the chance to take this much territory without the cost of his countrymen’s lives and the Fuma is beneficial. He thinks of the old code, of the honor, then clenches his fists and looks back up at the ranking officers.

Koujiro: "It does not matter for us, this is a chance for us to seize territory and save lives. If any champions wish to challenge in lieu of complete war I gladly except all comers. I will carve a line through this land in the truest fashion I know."

~Crow on her travels back to Leviathan~

Crow sits on the wagon with the captives, she notices Lady Hayakawa's body begin to wiggle and struggle and she moves to remove the bag from her head. A gag in her mouth keeps her from screaming.

Crow: "I know you will never see it, but I did not want what transpired to happen,. If you will not scream I will remove the gag, but you saw what I did to your father so I will not hesitate to end you if you call out."

Crow moves to untie the gag from her mouth. Lady Hayakawa breaths slowly looking with a look of intense hate into Crow's eyes.

Crow: "You share the look of the previous Magoichi before he ordered my death, I know your feelings but I do not understand them."

Lady Hayakawa: "How can you not understand them you witch. You murdered my family, how do you expect me to take that."

Crow: "I don't know, explain to me."

Laday Hayakawa: "What? Are you really that unintended to your emotions, do you just walk around not thinking about the implications of your actions, are you just some dog that doesn't think."

Crow: "A good dog is well fad and taken care of by it's master, why would I not want to be a dog?"

Lady Hayakawa: "Because you shouldn't want to be a dog, a dog doesn't have the choices we have."

Lady Hayakawa continues to talk while a patient crow sits cross-legged at her side with a dagger in her hand just in case. Lady Hayakawa considers escape but knows of the assassins speed and lethality.

Mikasa: Provence 62

Mikasa rode ever tireless to assist the allies of her master, the Mōri. Mikasa then arrived in the plains area where she saw the Azai and the Mōri battle. Mikasa then chanted, "Chere, Skybound!"

Right then a light surround Chere, giving it a temporary, Power of Flight. Mikasa rode to Takakage, while sniping a few gaurds with her bow, saying, "Lord Mōri, I am Mikasa Askura, a Captain if Lord Otomo's Gaurd. I have came with reinforcements."

The Otomo legion Mikasa led, charged into battle, aiming for the Azai.

Lucia: Provence 15

Lucia rode on horseback with Mitsunari, torward the Kai Castle. Lucia couldn't help but look at the vivid coloring that the Sakura trees painted the landscape. Lucia said, "The Sanada sure love Sakura trees, Mitsunari-San. They do make a beautiful portrait."

Mitsunari replied, sounding like his normal, cold self, "That is the Vaike's Sakura trees. Remember, the Vaike are there own clan, they are hired by Yukimura and the Sanada."

Lucia replied, "I heard their leader, Kazuto, is a strong man."

Mitsunari replied, "Kirigaya Kazuto is a cocky boy. Even though his legion has high Finess, it won't help him against the Oda."

~Hanbei and Gracia (Hanbei's Perspective)~ Province #31 Yamato
Hanbei struggled again. It's no use. This man has me exactly where he wants me to be. And I'm a fool to not have seen through his facade, but I don't him that well. And he said something about me being a Date? No! I am the son of Lilly and Tamaki Takenaka. The resemblance, I will argue, is purely visible; at least to my mother in looks, and my father in personality. Of course my name is Shigeharu, but I always preferred Hanbei ever since my village burned down. It has a nice ring to it, but how did that Kojuro guy mistake me for another Shigeharu? It is questionable where he received his information. But now, sometimes I wonder if he is right....
...No. He can't be. Kojuro is a complete psychopath.

Hanbei started contemplating more on his relationship to his father. It was strong, of course, before his village burned down. His father was always so proud of his son being high-achieving in school and a natural genius. To think...no....she would never! Aunt R told me herself she witnessed my birth! And I also resemble her, of course, since she is the twin of Lilly and they are identical. But I also share the same health as her especially. I know my family. Kojuro doesn't know what he is talking about, and he hardly knows me. He just jumps to conclusions and plans to murder other leaders because of my existence. He's making it all up so that way he can kill us all and shed more blood, like the sick man he is. Therefore, Kojuro's story is invalid!
Hanbei was lost in thought as Gracia poked his cheek. He gave her a harsh look, and she giggled.
"Don't touch me," Hanbei said irritated, "As I said earlier, You're either going to help me or not."

~Sorin~ Province #4 Echigo
Sorin was lead in by the Date guards. He instantly ran to Kojuro and Masamune when he saw them.
"I demand help! The Oda army has left this note at my castle," Sorin yelled, handing the note to Masamune. Masamune opened it, appeared to read the first line, and handed it to Kojuro. Kojuro took the note, scanning the penmanship over and then adjusted his glasses.
"I don't know what they want with Hanbei, but I need him back- he's what keeps the economy of the Otomo lands going, you know. He balances the budget every month, and ever since he became a scholar for us our numbers have been outstanding. He also knows much about the other armies and how to fight the battles, too! Therefore, I need him back!"
"I'm not risking the lives of my loyal men for one little sarcastic boy. It's not worth the effort," Masamune replied.
"But we can't face the Oda army alone! What will we do?! I don't want to start a full-on war against the Oda! If only Hanbei was here to plan the strateg-"
"Wanna know what Hanbei would say? Probably 'don't risk your life for one person- now let me nap'. Go home, Sorin. I see no value in this battle."
"What do you think, Kojuro?" Sorin said, his eyes pleading them for help.

~Masamune - Providence 4 - Castle~
Masamune look at Kojuro as the young child addressed him. Kojuro will make the right decision, I'm sure of it.

Kojuro finally said, "It might not be bad to send a small detachment to go retrieve Hanbei. His knowledge is very powerful. If it got in the wrong hands, this whole country could be doomed."

Masamune, irritated by his response, replied, "Kojuro! You were just there! Why didn't you save Hanbei when you were there?"

"He was already on the ship when I arrived at the castle. There would be no way of me getting out alive if I went solo on him. But, I did pick up information that would interest you, Lord Masamune. I caught a few Oda soldiers who were talking at the harbor and they mentioned a Shigeharu among their ranks." Kojuro said, fixing his glasses in place. He put the note that Sorin gave him in his coat pocket.

"Shigeharu?!" Masamune said, astonished. What if it is my brother? He can't be with the Oda. He needs to return back to where he belongs. It's my responsibility to look after my family, or what is left of them. Masamune turned and looked at Lord Sorin, "Well, then, how many men do you need."

Sorin, looking excited that the Date were going to help him said, "Well, a good amount. We might get caught in skirmish or something!"

"I think to get Hanbei the quickest, Masamune, I, and you will go to rescue him. The less bodies we have, the better chance we have to save him in stealth." Kojuro said, taking out a map from his other coat pocket. He pointed out the quickest route to the Oda territory.

Just us? I think Kojuro must of been at sea for too long. It's dangerous to send two lords out, with no protection. I really hope he knows what he is doing.... Masamune became lost in thought.

Oichi, who was standing very quiet during the whole conversation, finally spoke up, "Masamune darling, is this going to affect our wedding?"

Masamune put his arm around Oichi and pulled her close, "We will leave after our wedding, then. Hanbei can wait. he can take an extra snooze before we go rescue him." And maybe find a missing piece to my family as well.

~Takakage - Providence 63 - Plains~

"Lord Mori, I am Mikasa Askura, a Captain if Lord Otomo's Gaurd. I have came with reinforcements." Mikasa said. She landed her Pegasus near Taka's scrawny horse.

Taka, dumbfound at the pegasus replied, "I thank you for your help. We were falsely accused of stealing Lady Oichi." I can't believe she has a Pegasus! I thought those were only in the books and myths! Before Mikasa could reply, an arrow came straight for Taka's head. She sniped the arrow with her arrow, and the two arrows fell limp to the ground.

"Thanks! We will talk after the battle." Taka said. He dismounted his horse and lent it to a nearby soldier. I work better on the ground anyways. I have more area to use my magic! Taka drew a circle around him in the dirt with his sword. He opened his spell book and chanted: "May Nature wield me to use her power, for a while. I summon thee sturdy, snake vines that will put our enemies in a tight situation."

At his command, his book started to glow green and vines emerged from the circle in the dirt. The vines grabbed the ankles of some unexpected soldiers and whipped them around like a propeller. Taka came out of the circle and slashed a few enemies with his sword. He can't use spell after spell, or he will faint from exhaustion. Magic takes energy to use.

Nagamasa was not too happy to see the reinforcements. Taka heard him shout, "Dang it! They brought their worthless allies to aid them. Send out the detachment!" Detachment? This isn't like Nagamasa? What is he up too? Taka watched with a keen eye as a few men detached from the mob of men. Nagamasa seemed to be leading the detachment himself. An adviser that Taka has never seen before took his place on the hill. The advisor had black hair that stood up and smug look on his face. His blue scarf ruffled slightly from a breeze.

Appearances cause why not?:

I'm more interested in that detachment, but who is this guy? When did Nagamasa meet this guy? Hopefully, from looking at him, his ego will consume him. The adviser stared straight at Takakage. Taka stared back, and it finally hit him. Wait a minute, Takatora?! We use to be friends, what happened to you?

~Hojo Territories: Leviathan~

Upon arriving at the ship, the Saika were given a high degree of hospitality. The Saika looked at each other in response to the pirates being not very pirate like. Though the braided pony tails on many of the crew said otherwise.

While separated from her clansmen, Magoichi sent Kyoya to look over the place. A finely carved ship had to have some weaknesses, and whether or not an alliance would happen, research must be acquired.

Cheap China wood here Kyoya thought, You'd think he'd have taken his followers to Korea, and get some nice structure with ingrained bark. Better for ships. Not this cheap knock off mahogany

Staring at a railing for too long, Rinku nudges Kyoya and they hurry back with the others. The clan was taken to the main dining hall as their leader was directed towards the captain's area. The non-serving pirates get them a quick once over, somehow while the were rest were being overly hospitable. They then made their way to the prepared food.

"Are we done with all these tests now?" Ryoga exclaims. "Let's get on with something. I'm starving!"

************************************************************************

In the meeting chamber Magoichi finds herself at a table with more than plenty of a four-course sea-faring meal.

He must stop throwing all his money away like that just to be generous to this extent. Magoichi contemplates. He will require it for many future negotiations with several clans.

"Well aren't you a nice little pirate." Magoichi says. "I'm quite grateful for the sake, but do not worry, I can hold my liquor better than the best of them."

She eats for a moment and finishes the first bottle of sake.

"You wish for me to work for you, do you?" Magoichi says matter of factly. "Makes sense that you demand that I travel across of all of Japan for you. Took most of the season as well."

Magoichi leans forward in thought.

"Let me go through a check list of mine first, before I provide my services."

Magoichi continued, counting off her fingers.

"I want to continue overseeing my people, so that I can protect my Saika clan. I will want to check in on my territory, which if the case turns dire I will expect aid in return for my services."

Magoichi pauses for Kraken to absorb the information.

"I want the Oda to be put down, be it my hand or another, but the dirty mongrel must die."

Magoichi paused again. She points toward the table. After a moment, Kraken realizes what she wants and motions for a maid to bring more liquor.

Crow walks in with more sake and a glare.

"Lady Saika, this is not the protein I mentioned earlier."

"Just hand me my liquor." Magoichi responds emotionless.

The pirate captain glares at his cutthroat as she sets the sake bottle on the table.

Kraken "Are you not currently receiving medical attention?"

Crow shrugs as she leaves the room.

"Why do you not listen to me?!" Kraken exclaims.

Magoichi leans on her hand, elbow on the table.

"Quite a set of characters here Dusk, no one else like them. That's for sure." Magoichi says sipping more sake.

Kraken directs his attention back towards Magoichi to find her staring at a wall.

"Who are you talking to?"

"Don't worry about it."

Kraken remains silent.

"Oh yes. Before I forget, my last requirement for acceptance." Magoichi says sitting up. "I'm a sharp shooter. I want to shoot many stupid people."

Kraken nodded as she gave her last demand.

"Just remember one thing, I'm not your lackey, I'm not your toady, I'm not your dog, and don't go expecting me to bend a knee every your walk in through the door."

~ The Leviathan, Hojo waters ~

Kraken sits while Magoichi lists her requirements for her service. At one point he finds her speaking directly to a wall and a man named Dusk.

Kraken thinks for himself: “Dusk? Is this woman drunk? Ah, well she seems coherent enough.”

Kraken listens carefully as she finishes, each item already being addressed in his head.

Magoichi: ”Just remember one thing, I'm not your lackey, I'm not your toady, I'm not your dog, and don't go expecting me to bend a knee every time your walk in through the door.”

Kraken smiles in amusement and stands from his chair.

Kraken: “Ha, I like your style my lady. I would never expect you to bend a knee… a simple curtsy will suffice.”

Kraken moves to Magoichi’s side of the table and sits half on it glaring down at the young Saika.

Kraken: “Your terms are simple and true and I would expect non the less from you. The Oda seem to be having a good time making a mess of Japan so I can agree to bring them down, though all of them may not need die. Just the ones pulling the strings. As for protecting your lands I have to say, if you would be willing to walk away from your people then you wouldn’t be the person I want beside me.”

Kraken puts a hand on the Saika’s shoulder. Magoichi stares back at him trying to understand his motives, he is difficult to read. The three empty bottles of sake may have added to this difficulty.

Kraken: “Let me help you to a room, you can sleep off this nights indulgence’s while I finish my talk.”

Kraken raises Magoichi from her seat and out the room, down the halls. Several maids stand at attention and follow behind. Magoichi walks on her own easily down the hall most the way impressing Kraken on her ability to handle her drink. Each time he turns his attention onto a maid Magoichi falls towards a wall and looks extremely nauseated. When Kraken turns back she snaps to attention before his gaze sees. The maids give out a little chuckle each time and Kraken shrugs his shoulders in confusion.

Kraken: "Your room lady Saika. One last thing. I would like to leave you with. When the time comes that you may sway from your duties and think about betraying me just remember. Whatever it is they are paying you to kill me…I’ll beat it. I like living."

Kraken strolls off down the hall as his maids aid the Saika and situate her with her room. Once he returns to the upper deck he calls the wheel man over and gives him directions. Koujiro returns to his side.

Koujior: You’re going to the Tachibana, checking on your old allies.

Kraken: "Yes, I also need to get Magoichi back to her lands to check on them and we own the waters in that region and along that coast so it will be safest. I would like to leave you here."

Koujiro: “Wait, why?”

Kraken: “I want you to finish the Hojo and protect my territories while I’m gone. You can decide how and when things happen and how to fight and win.”

Koujiro: “Just like that, you trust me to not betray you with all your assets.”

Kraken: “I trust you to do things correctly, if that means killing me then who am I to stand in the way of the better plan.”

Kraken laughs as Koujiro begins to climb off the boat with a confused look upon his face. The Leviathan releases anchor and begins it’s trip to the Tachibana.

~Gracia~ Province #31 Yamato
"Why are you so grumpy?" Gracia replied, leaning into Hanbei's face, "Did somebody steal your teddy bear? I would be upset if I lost mine."
"Wouldn't YOU be grumpy if a madman chained you up and left you with an idiot?!" Hanbei retorted, "I need you to listen to me. I need to get out of here..."
"But Mr. Kojuro said-"
"I don't care what Kojuro said! Don't you see he's evil?!" Hanbei sighed.
"Well, if he was evil he wouldn't be my friend! What makes you say such an absurd statement?" Gracia crossed her arms, "All my pals are the greatest. Including you."
"..."
But yet, he's still not convinced. I've known Mr. Kojuro for a while! He's always busy, doing work in another province. I tried to ask him exactly what he did for a living once, he shrugged me off. Sometimes he's no fun to talk to, but when he does open up, I'm happy. And I don't see any malicious intents in him. He's just loyal to the Oda cause, like me! My daddy is working to make the land a peaceful place!
Hanbei's eyes suddenly lit up.
"Hey. I know a game," He smiled.
"Oh, really! I love games!" Gracia clapped.
"See how these chains are locked?" He pointed, "There's a certain key that opens them up."
"I know!" Gracia said.
"So, if you find the key, you win the game. It's a scavenger hunt. When you find a set of keys, bring them here and test them on the chains to see if their correct."
"Ooooh! Oooooh! Do I win a prize if I set you free?"
"Uh.....yea. Sure. A prize. Whatever you want."
"Well, we have to set the conditions of the game first. What if I lose? What do you get? And I need to decide what I get..." Gracia said, concerned.
"Uh.....if you lose..........you have to tell me....uh....a secret wish you have."
"Oh no, I won't lose now! And if I win, I get whatever I want then right?"
"Yea. Whatever you want, I have money if you want it. That's an incentive."
"Maybe...well, I'm off to find it!" Gracia said, scurrying out of the room and down the hall. I know exactly what I'm gonna ask for if I win!

~Hanbei~ Province #31 Yamato
Hanbei watched the girl as she wandered off to find the keys. Well, that was easier than I expected. If that idiot finds the keys, then she'll unlock one of my chains. I'll tell her to do the right-arm. She'll listen. It's "part of the game." Then I'll rip the keys out from her grasp, free myself, and leave. It'll be the last she ever sees of me. I'll pay her or something as a reward, whatever she wants me to buy her. Or I can just leave her more preferably.

~Sorin~ Province #4 Echigo
"Did somebody say...wedding?!" Sorin said, his eyes lighting up.
"Why yes! Me and Masamune are getting married. Isn't it wonderful?" Oichi smiled at Masamune.
"You need a priest! Not just any priest- a Xavist one!" Sorin exclaimed, "Good thing we brought John on the boat with us! He'll do!"
"Whoa kid, don't get involved. Oichi and I-" Masamune stood forward, unamused, but was suddenly cut off by Oichi.
"-Think that's a wonderful idea!" Oichi clapped, "Oh Masamune, our marriage and wedding vows will be sealed under a priest! Isn't that a lovely idea? I'm so happy!"
"I was thinking....that's not really....ugh.." Masamune grumbled.
"What was that sweetie-pie?"
"Nothing. I was just thinking we should show Sorin to a guest room since he'll be staying overnight."
Sorin was lead by Date guards to a room. Soon enough, the next day came around, and the wedding was about to begin.

This might reflect more of a western wedding since I don't know much about Japanese marriage. ^^; So, just bare with me.

~Masamune - Providence - Church~

The next day arrived quickly. The church near the castle was all spiffed up for the rare occasion. People were sitting and whispering to one another in the pews. The priest stood in front of the alter, short and stout. He was holding a copy of the Xavist beliefs. Oichi stood near him, holding a beautiful boque of flowers. The maids did a wonderful job fixing up her hair and weaving pink and white flowers in it. Her kimono was pure white with a few flowers attached to it.

Masamune entered the hall and fixed the front of his fancy outfit. Everyone in the pews rose to the occasion. Kojuro was near the back, giving Masamune a smile of approval. I feel like there is something behind that smile..oh well, this is supposed to be a happy day. Oichi saw him and they met halfway, in the middle of the aisle. The priest, John, followed her, opening his book.

"We are gathered her today to witness the marriage of two young souls who found each other. We..." John trailed off. Masamune started to tune him out and focused his attention on Oichi. She's so beautiful. I hope to make her happy. I want to take this world and give it to her.

Finally, John called out the words, "Lord Masamune Date, do you take this lovely lady to be your wedded wife?"
"I do" Masamune said. He bit back a snarky response, realizing how serious this was, to him and to this priest.
"And you, Lady Oichi, do you take this hansom man to be your husband?"
"Of course!" Oichi said happily.
"Then by Xavi and the powers above, I pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride." John said, closing his book after his last words.

Oichi leaned in to kiss and Masamune pulled her into a tight hug and kissed her. She closed her eyes, enjoying the moment. Masamune could hear the people's cheers all around him, congratulating their lord finally getting married. I'm glad nobody figured out she was from the Oda. I made sure that information was tightly locked in the castle. Masamune slowly stops kissing Oichi and turns to his people. He notices that Kojuro seemed to be missing from where he was sitting before. Never a dull moment with him. Oichi grabs Masamune's hand and squeezes it tight.

~Kojuro - Providence 4 - Outside the Church~

Kojuro stormed out of the church quietly. I can't believe I just let that happen. I just need a moment to myself.. He looks around outside, examining what he can see. Some birds are cheerping in the nearby trees and the harbor was full of shouting and men working on the ships. Someone stumbles across Kojuro's path, looks around nervously, and continues to stumble on, obviously in pain.

Who's that? They seem oddly familiar.. Kojuro walked up to the man, "Excuse me, you seemed to be injured. Would you like some medical attention?" He fixed his glasses in place.

The man look directly at him, "Kojuro? Is that you? It is! I knew I would get help here, please!" the man said, he clenched his shoulder in agony. Kojuro notes how there is a dried blood spot. Then, the features finally hit him. The shortish, black hair, the determined small eyes, the slightly feminine resemblance is obviously Ranmaru. I thought he died from the Oda attack on the Ishida!

"Ranmaru, what happened to you! It looks like you've been to hell and back!" Kojuro asked, puzzled.

"Well, I almost got killed by that Mitsunari guy. Man, that guy has such a high ego! I only managed to escape when he conveniently placed a bomb and a ninja switched it out for a smoke bomb. That ninja took my place and my sword and died saving me. My honor was lost in that battle and the only place I could turn to was here. I knew you would be here." Ranmaru said in short breaths.

"Well, you need medical attention...somewhere that isn't the castle. My 'lord' is pretty stupid and hotheaded, but not that hotheaded to not noticed you." Kojuro said.

"You mean Masa-dork? I never got why you stood with him for all these years! Just join the Oda already." Ranmaru said.

"Look, I won't be here much longer. Take a good look around, this will soon be Oda land. I have a convenient plan to kill two birds with one stone." Kojuro said, smiling, thinking about his plan. "When you get patched up, I need you to do something."

"Really what?" Ranmaru said as Kojuro was leading him to the local doctor.

"I need you to keep of the castle free of guards for the next few days. The Oda 'kidnapped' the strategist Hanbei Takenaka, AKA, Shigeharu Date. He is actually Masamune's little brother and.." Kojuro trailed off. He explained the rest of what happened and what his further plans were on the way. He made sure to make his voice in soft, dark whispers.

"I get it. Devious I see? Well, I'll be happy to help, and get revenge on Lucia and her Uncle."
Ranmaru said.

"I also should note that the One-Eye Idiot married Oichi. Yes, Nobunaga's sister. I 'rescued' her when she was trying to escape going to the Azai. I was going to return her and hopefully hook up with her. Since I'm always here, trying to find a way to destroy the Date, I never really got to know her. But man, she is gorgeous." Kojuro said. He looked in the distance.

"Don't worry, once Masamune is dead, then she's all yours."
Ranmaru said. He managed to put his over hand reassuringly on Kojuro's shoulder.

~Takakage - Providence 62 - Battlefield~

"Takatora!" Takakage called out, "What are you doing working for the Azai?"

"Wait...is that you Taka?" Takatora blinked in confusion.

"Yes, of course it's me, Tora!" Taka called out. Tora got off his horse and met Taka halfway up the hill. The two stared at each other for a while.

"I joined the Azai, hoping for a better life...and a better future." Tora choked out. He obviously didn't want to talk to Taka about his reasons for joining the Azai.

"But Tora, we were buddies back in the day. We can stop this fight! Persuade Nagamasa that we don't have Lady Oichi and the bloodshed can stop." Taka said, hoping for this conflict to resolve.

"No, I can't do that. We are enemies now, right now at this battle." Tora draws out his sword. "Engarde!"

Taka shakily raises his sword and the two start to fight. Crap, he knows my weakness, he knows I rely heavily on magic!

~Gonna be a long one, covering lots of things.~

—Koujiro - Hojo Provences—

Koujiro continued his push for control of the remaining Hojo territories. He spent the night traveling back to his last known encampment, the soldiers happy to see the swordsman return to the front lines. He is briefed on the situation and calls a meeting with the captains of the area.

Koujiro: "Well done men, while I’ve left you it seems things have only progressed, while I do not doubt your abilities I am always impressed that the pirates continue their focus and don’t go out mugging and boozing."

Pirate Captain: "Is that an insult I detect, or are you finally finding some humor in the situation young lord. Pirate is term of the past, while we answer for it I feel our love of the sea is slowly being consumed by our land legs. Also yes, we would love some drink but our heads must be clear. And we gave up mugging long ago… people are usually so afraid of us we have no need to harm them to get their belongings."

Koujiro: "Yet I am fighting by your sides, a frightening prospect I never believed in. Yet to ignore our effectiveness on the battlefield is to lie. My brave men and samurai paired with your Lords less than decent technics have made us a threat to never be ignored. Now then I have a plan for the final push. The capitals are up for grabs as anyone with a claim to the Hojo title fight for it. They have been so engrossed in their little squabble they did not see their southern territory raise Krakens flags. We will surround the capital. We will take the farms, the towns and everything else. By the time they finish fighting they will realize there is no Hojo left for them to command and will surrender to us or fade to nothing."

Hosokawa Captain: "A brilliant plan and all those areas should easily surrender to us, we will avoid bloodshed, may I suggest we shower them with food and support, they will be suffering currently and it may be easier to buy their loyalty then fight for it."

Pirate Captain: "I agree, while us pirates hate to give up our belongings it seems like a fair trade, some gold and good will and in return Japan, Ha!"

Koujiro: "Then the plan is made, let us make haste, I want to begin preparing defenses as soon as we can, I want Kraken to know that honor can still be found and bring better results then some of his less than positive actions. "

— Whisper- Date Wedding —

Whisper watches from the rafters, a beautiful site indeed, the union of two war torn souls. She closes one eye lining up her shot better. Oichi’s head lies in the path of her arrow. She clenches her hands tightly and pulls the line, the strength of the bow will send her body into the arms of her beloved, a quick death and oddly romantic. Whisper inhales and holds her breath calming her hands.

Whisper: "Sorry young Oda, orders are orders."

Whisper exhales and eases the line back to normal, she sets the bow back into the niche it was hidden in and makes her way down unseen. Dusting off her fine dress. Whisper paces back and forth arguing with herself.

Whisper: "Coward, you promised Crow you would stop anyone from getting close to Masemune, anyone who could cause problems. I’m pretty sure this is gonna be a problem… yet Kraken enjoys problems, I think it is way past time I leave, this place is about to implode on itself."

Whisper continues walking around the area, seeing what seems to be Kojuro aiding an injured man. She thinks to herself.

Whisper: "More Oda, my sources said Ranmaru died. More of a chance to kill him later, maybe I should tag along."

Whisper follows the two to the doctor and eyes the procedures. Before she would leave that night for Kraken she would leave two letters, one for Masamune left on his bed stand. The other left for the doctor to give to Ranmaru when he awoke.

Bedstand Letter for Masamune.

My Dearest Idiot.
I hope your wedding went well, I had to leave suddenly. Seeing if I had stayed I may have killed your wife to keep things in line. I decided to let this one slide, I hope you know what you’re getting into. Also I was told to protect the Date, but seeing the Date is going to implode on itself I hope your side wins. My wedding gift is this, I will not kill your wife and I will leave a bloody trail of all the spies I have kept eyes on while protecting the Date. Good luck and Good will.
ps. You make an adorable couple.

-Shhhhhhhhh.

Letter for Ranmaru.

To My Newest Toy.
I may have replaced a vial of medicine with a very slowly efficient venom, one that takes a long time to kill and is very hard to cure unless you know what you’re dealing with exactly. A venom that also reacts to antidotes by instantly spreading and killing the host. So I’ll make this quick. I’d avoid getting really worked up and take care of yourself, since when the time comes I will offer you the antidote for your services. So rest well, you won’t die anytime soon, but if I don’t see you before the year is up I apologize for forgetting about you and letting you die.

-Your new green lipsticked friend.

—Kraken- Leviathan—

The ship sailed smoothly through the waters towards the Tachibana. It had been a long time since Kraken had felt the wind in his hair. He leaned on the railing as Crow moved alongside him. A white bandage and sling could be seen on her persons. A smile snuck through his demeanor.

Kraken: "You look better, I was worried you wouldn’t seek medical attention and the injury would scar you."

Crow: "I have many scars, you just have never looked for them."

Kraken: "Is something wrong, you sound different, what bothers you."

Crow: "I had time to talk to Lady Hayakawa while I journeyed back. To say it was not enlightening is to do her a disservice."

Kraken: "She knew you killed her father I assume, how did you keep her tearing you apart."

Crow: "She feared me, so she talked reasonably while I held a dagger to her throat. She called me an emotionless monster. Then she explained why I do the things I do, why I’m so messed up."

Kraken moves in closer to bring his face inches from hers, he raises her chin to meet his face.

Kraken: "Never let anyone tell you anything but praise, you are a guardian  angel to the downtrodden, a warrior of light willing to jump into the abyss to bring peace and harmony. You may have lived a bad life before but you are atoning for it in your own way. You are not a monster and I will not stand for any to call you that."

Crow: "Stand down captain, she made me realize I may have some problems that need to be assessed. It will take time but I will try to see her point of view. I killed her father not because it was the only decision, but because it was the decision I saw that would further out goals. I did not hesitate to consider alternatives. I saw her father as a tool, not a human. I think that makes me a monster, when I look in a mirror I see a face that shows no mercy, no care. I don’t see myself… what do you see."

Crow looked up into Krakens eyes as Kraken looked down, for once he saw things he never saw before. He did not see his faithful assassin, he did not see the relentless warrior. He saw a defenseless woman, standing naked and cold in the winters air, without hope in her eyes, without care of her own demise.

Kraken: "I see a beautiful woman. One who I guess I never truly looked at before, one who I never considered what I was putting through with each decision I made. One that has carried my burdens, my crimes, my decisions for me. A woman that I love more than life itself, and one I cannot stand to be without, and alas, one who without I would never be the man I am today.  I need you Crow, as I needed you in the beginning."

Kraken strokes her chin gently before turning to head down below deck.

Kraken: "I need to speak to our captive guests now. Crow, we will talk again soon, but please look in a mirror again, and tell me what you see. Fore if it is still a monster, I will break every mirror aboard this vessel."
